One of my favourite tools
Several months ago I under took a improvement project of replacing my banister, spindles, rails and so on. This saw was perfect for the precision cuts required and for flush cutting dowel into Newell posts, amazingly so.Double sided saw with one side for soft wood and one for hard wood. Very easy to use, comfortable to use also, a good size handle makes it less annoying and tiresome to cut and being a fine saw the blade flexes nicely but never gets damaged so is sturdy under pressure and it comes at a good price, a price I think is well worth it.I highly recommend it.

Bendy
A good quality saw, but very bendy. I've just done a few dovetails and IMHO this saw isn't for beginners - it cuts very accurately but you do need to be careful not to let it bend it during sawing - let the saw do the work (slowly), remember it's pull saw and don't apply any pressure - it takes patience but it's excellent quality and does the job.

Really useful Japanese saw
If we valued tools by their weight, then this would probably be the most expensive hand tool in my workshop, but to me it's worth more than it's weight in gold! It was my introduction to Japanese saws which cut on the pull rather than the push stroke and I would never go back to Western saws again. This little saw is one of my favourite tools. It's sharp and accurate and its flexible blade means it can go where other saws can't without leaving a mark on the workpiece. Trimming dowels, fine tuning cuts made with bigger saws, and tidying up joints and end cuts are just some of the uses I've put it to. its double edged blade deals equally well with both hard and soft woods. I don't know how this Suizan saw compares to equivalent saws from other Japanese makers, but as far as I'm concerned I can't see how this could be bettered.

A very good saw for woodworking that can cut very thin slices of wood.

Excellent
Second time I’ve purchased one of these (I gave the first one away). Absolutely beautiful little saw, double edged for both soft and hard woods with a nice large handle making it easy to use with my arthritic fingers. Excellent quality - to be expected from Japan - and built to last. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic saw
Absolutely love this saw. I will be buying a bigger version at some point. This cuts and leaves a smooth edge, it's very precise and no messy shavings, just a bit of dust when soft wood is cut. So far I've built ceiling to floor clothes hangers with shelves and a 4 tier shelf unit for my games consoles using just this saw. It's so easy to use. I find this type of saw a bit expensive but in comparison to other models out there this is value for your money. My only gripe would be the flimsyness of the blade, which I know it has to be, but I have almost snapped it once or twice. If you are into a bit of DIY woodworking then this is a must have for your tool box..

Sharp AF
Use the saw to flush cut glued-in dowels on several projects now. Very sharp, and good value. Would buy again (if it ever wears out).
