Beware if you have gout!
I saw this and immediately had to order the S&B Chili Oil with Crunchy Garlic that I remembered eating as a child in Japan. The taste, the heat, texture and value for the money are great. The company S&B has been around since 1931. Major problem for me is that it triggered a major major gout attack! I am still recovering after being bedridden for over a month. Please enjoy this but NOT if you had gout in the past or if you have a high uric acid level .

This condiment rules!
There are many crunchy garlic chili paste products on the market now and I still firmly believe that this is the best one after having tried many. The price point at Amazon is good. It works great with so many foods beyond Asian cuisine. it’s excellent for scrambled eggs, any type of rice, or just a little extra zing on a basic piece of chicken. This remains a household favorite.

Flavor is great
So, these are small jars, are kind of expensive, but worth it! Drizzle on eggs, hot pot style meals, veggies, meat, anything and you will be surprised. This is NOT spicy, if you are looking for that. This 6 pack came with 1 delightful little wooden spoon for serving. I hope I continue to get the spoon with each of my subscribe and save orders because it seems to take a little out of the sting for the price!

Expensive.
More expensive than purchasing this at your local Asian grocery. It also didn't come with the spoon like the listing said it would... the product itself has always been my favorite, taste great, not spicy, has a great crunch, too! But I wouldn't purchase from this seller again.
