Excellent sound in compact form
I have both the red and cobalt dragonflies. I use the red on my computer and cobalt with my phone, which I typically use for listening to music. I disagree with the other reviewer in that I think the blue is clearly better sonically than the red. The music is clear, smooth, spacious, with good timbre. (I use 64Audio A6 IEMs to judge the sound.) The blue is even a little smaller than the red. I personally have never heard a DAC sound any better than the blue in anything that was meant to be used with a phone. If you can afford the cobalt, get it. If you can't afford the cobalt, then the red is also good. I heartily recommend it!

Best Dingle DAC
I use the Apple Powered Camera adapter for my iPhone and a USB Mini OTG Dragon Tail for my Android. You’ll need to make sure you select HD/Ultra HD in the Amazon Music settings and the Yellow Ultra UD and change it to Dolby Atmos or 360, and the Colbalt light should be light blue. The sound needs to be through a high definition IEM or headphones. This is all important or your music won’t sound good. I’m using a pair of Sure 535 and haven’t needed an amp as the sound is cleaner and louder, and absolutely incredible. I haven’t tried Tidal yet and still think it’s worth the $300. I also didn’t need to buy any software for my Samsung S7. I’m happy.

Worked great, upgraded the audio in my car, until it stopped sending audio to the left side
I bought this product about 2-3 months ago, and it really upgraded the sound quality in the car for me. Problem is, it now will only send audio to the right side of my car. I tried other cables and it's definitely this device. My Dragonfly red still works to both sides of the car.Any thoughts or suggestions?

Good Upgrade to Digital / Streaming Music Listening
I bought this after reading all the positive reviews and wasn’t disappointed. I tested it through my Sennheiser headphones connected to my iPhone12 through Spotify on the highest streaming level with the EQ settings at the flat default. It sounded more alive and expressive, but the biggest difference came when I did an A/B comparison with my turntable.I’ve got an old restored Panasonic receiver with bass and treble I set at 12 o clock. So to restate - this was a listen of the same tune (Sara by Fleetwood Mac) without the dragon fly on my turntable. This listen produced unsurprisingly a warmer sound with a bit more bass presence. Everything was more rounded and softer sounding. The same tune played through my iPhone with the dragonfly produced a brighter sound. The warm gauzy more midrangy quality of the LP was missing. But what was drastically better with the dragonfly was the expressive soundstage. I picked this tune because it’s one of those studio wonders with all kinds of instruments and vocals scattered all over the place that really stand out during an isolated headphone listen. And the separation of everything with the dragonfly was incredible. I heard the vocalists inhale before they sang - fine details absent from the LP listen. The best of both worlds - warm LP fidelity and clarity of the dragonfly would be choice, but I think I can get something approximate to that if I play around with the EQ in Spotify and boost the bass some.Anyway, this is all to say buy this! You won’t be disappointed.

Fidelity is preferred.
There’s no way I know it’s sturdy until it stands the rest of time. I don’t know how to tell it’s durability from its sturdiness. It’s pretty inexpensive for the way it makes songs sound.

Tuning was just blah. Did I get a bad one?
I tried a friends and with limited listening whit iem's and I liked it. When I got mine I tried it on my home system and compared it to my Apple $8 dac and my Earman Eagle $130 dac. I immediately noticed a U shaped tuning with the upper bass, mids, and lower treble all rolled together. This really took the life out of the music for me and I hated it. I want to hear seperation of the insruments through the sound spectrum. The bass especially the sub bass was excellent and is the best of the 3 dacs. It was buttery smooth and pleasant. The treble was clear but rolled off. It would be good for long listening without fatigue. Female vocals really stood out. Ultimately, the Apple dac beats this out for my ears and taste so I returned it.

3 years later and I'm still loving it.
Amazing sound in such a small presentation. Pretty decent amp. If you are using it on Android make sure to use USB Audio Player Pro to overcome Android re-sampling, huuuuge improvement on audio.
