Elegant and Functional
Elegant and Functional! I love the look of the lighting that enhances the viewing of our oil on canvas painting. And, the varying lighting options are superb. I highly recommend the lighting for all original all original fine-art works.

Great quality, perfect picture lights. Not even remotely "antique brass".
First thing. If you choose "antique brass", please be aware that there is nothing brass about these. These are brushed nickel through and through and the manufacturer really needs to change their product information. If you actually want a brass tone, order the polished brass.Second, I read a review from a frustrated purchaser, upset because they said that these actually take 10, C batteries rather than the advertised 8 - all while they were showing a photo of 8 batteries (huh?). So in response to that, ummmm, my dude, please double check your math before reviewing. These take 8 batteries just as advertised. :)Like some other reviewers, we went the route of rechargeable AA batteries and C spacers, rather than using 8, C batteries. 8 C batteries are heavy and we didn't want the light itself to struggle to support the weight. Plus, rechargeable is always better. We'll see how long they last being on for several hours each evening. Just note that if you go this route, it does make it more difficult to slot that last battery in, as the C spacers are just a hair bigger than actual C batteries. These were fairly easy to install. We drilled them into the wall because I'm not really about attaching a picture light to the back of my expensive frames. I love the dimmable feature, and the warm tone of the lights. All in all, absolutely perfect for the look we were going for.We do have some more expensive, hardwired picture lights and while these aren't that level of quality, they are definitely nice for the money and not the "piece of junk" another reviewer - who apparently hadn't even opened the package - reviewed them as being. They are nice, metal lights with an attractive finish. They are easy to adjust, and one remote will work for however many lights you have, you just need to aim it at whichever light you want to turn on. So no need for multiple remotes if you have multiple lights. All in all, great picture lights for the money!

Great product, and above and beyond service
Not only is the product really good…customer service was amazing. I lost the set screw for my light, wrote them on their site, and someone wrote me right back and mailed me a replacement screw. No charge!

Good For The Price
The last battery-operated picture light I bought was around $250-OUCH! So far this light seems to provide sufficient light and is not difficult to install IF you have a drill. Only concern is how long the batteries will last.

Love the lighting
Lighted pictures can change your whole life.

Disappointing.
This product is too heavy given the D batteries. It is putting too much pressure on our wall and is weighted down.

Longest non wired light I could find and works well
Hard to find a light as long as this on the market. I have a painting 55in (1400mm) high and 39in (1000mm) wide. It works well on the highest setting.I have a very thick timber frame so needed to extended the arm and add a stronger L bracket. How to make up the extension: Buy a steel L bracket approx 3.5in (90mm) x 3.5in (90mm). Its good if it already has 2 screw holes pre drilled on both legs.On the supplied light and original L bracket, unscrew and remove the L bracket and discard this bracket. Find a copper or aluminium tube that fits nicely over the section which has the thump screw. I made the new tube 12in (300mm) long.Drill a hole through the new tube and use the same thumb screw to just hold the light in place. To fit the tube to the new L bracket I glued a timber dowel inside the tube near the L bracket and then squashed it a little in a vice. (makes it easier to drill then sit on top of the L bracket). Then matched the holes in the L bracket, drill holes and bolt together.Spray paint the new L bracket and tube extension with brass coloured spray can.I used the rechargeable idea that other reviewers suggested in buying the Eneloop and Miraclekoo option this works well, however I found it almost impossible to fit the 8 batteries in the compartment. I'm guessing the reason for this is the rechargeables are a little longer as they don't have the small indent like the standard C batteries have. To fix this I unscrewed the compartment and with some strong wire cutters removed half of the metal spring that pushes the batteries together.Tips:you will need to remove the light from the bracket when replacing the rechargeable batteries as it is still a tight fit. Also I bought a second charger so I can charge all 8 batteries at one time.
