I see what you are saying. I suppose if you are looking the direction of the face forward of the battery... red means live (+) and black means ground (-), use that more than left and right on a picture.

where's the battery made ?

From Louisiana to Southern California the Interstate brand batteries are made by a Johnson Controls manufacturing plant in Monterrey, Mexico. In the other states, the batteries are made by Johnson Controls in the United States.

Great Solar gate battery

Interstate makes great batteries. This replaced a Duracell marine battery for my solar gate. Much better battery for almost 1/3 the price

Bad cell?

Received the battery and installed it in a solar powered gate operator. Wouldn’t stay charged, causing all sorts of problems. Finally gave up after less than 2 months and replaced it with a Duracell (same amp hours, form factor). Gate now runs like a charm.
