Problematic - do NOT forget the blue wire
When I hooked it up with a new Pioneer head unit, the radio receipt was awful, almost non-existent. Thank goodness for the other reviews and questions here on Amazon. The user that referenced the need to connect the blue wire (power antenna) for the wiring harness. This is a MUST, and it is not covered anywhere in the documentation for the stereo, harness or antenna adapter. Why would the "power antenna" wire be needed, esp when there is no corresponding wire labeled as such from the new Pioneer unit. Don't ask silly questions. Just connect the BLUE WIRE, or your reception will SUCK.... trust me. While I did not have the reversed polarization issue, the connection does some touchy. Moving the socket of the adapter will make it cut out. May need to swap it out.

Don’t use if don’t have too.
After almost a year of crappy fm signal I finally tried to hook up the radio directly to the new pioneer radio and barely got the stock antenna wire to reach but now signal is so much better without this dang antenna adapter. Would not recommend it! I tried to see if the plug is was loose twice but was fully in. Just poor quality or something.

Works great!
Used on our G35 with an aftermarket HD radio and the radio reception is perfect.

Simple and effective. Works as advertised.
This adapter just works. Like a charm, and without a hitch. A note if you're getting bad reception, it's not likely this adapter. The Nissan diversity antennas are powered antennas, and if you did not hook up your power antenna leads on your harness and head unit, you will get crummy reception. On my harness it was the blue wire, and the difference was NIGHT and DAY.

Does its job perfectly.
I used this antenna to connect my 1992 Nissan hardbody truck to a more recent Pioneer head unit. The antenna adapter arrived quickly in perfect condition. With my antenna connected I am now able to pick up every FM and AM station in the area, crystal clear. If I ever need another antenna adapter for a future vehicle I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

You'll probably need this guy
Wish there was a package with all of the needed parts for these nissan radios, one typically needs only a wiring harness and dashkit, however depending on the radio and car model this antenna adapter will be necessary to connect your after market head unit as well as an interface for your factory amp. Does as described but you will probably only need one half of the antenna connections to the aftermarket radio, leaving the second cable as added bulk behind the dash. Can't complain about the simplicity though worked just as I needed.

Did its job as described. Could be a little shorter and i'm sure the extra tail is for further compatibility. Only tip i recommend is inverting the placement of the stock adapter into this fitting because it really does make a positive difference to the radio reception.Mine fit perfectly reversed without having to tape it(as others described). Hope this helps!
