Helps Plantar Fasciitis (double better than single)
I have plantar fasciitis in both feet, and this is the item that helps me most. I first isednin at physical therapy, and was so happy when I found out I could get my own. I can go from not being able to walk, to walking normally in a matter of minutes. I need to stretch first thing in the morning, so I can use this in the kitchen while I am making tea. It only takes a few minutes. There are other stretches you can do without equipment, but I don’t like doing them. I like using this which means I will do it more often. This is the easiest and quickest. The double was more expensive, but well worth it. I hesitated a long time on spending the money on it, but as soon as I got it, I was ecstatic! I felt I got a better stretch immediately. I have a single prostretch which I also love, but the double is better. Perhaps it’s more stable and I stand differently on a double. I am very adept on the single, but maybe I relax differently on this. It also saves time in that I can do both calves at same time.I asked my physical therapist the recommended time to stretch. She told me 30 second hold time. She further explained that they have done studies on holding for 20 seconds and 40 seconds, but 30 seconds is the optimal time for holding any stretch. No more, no less.I looked in the booklet that came with the stretcher and it also says 30 seconds, so I use my iPhone timer and just keep resetting in for every stretch to make sure I get the optimal time. You can use other stretching means, but standing and allowing your heel to drop gradually with your weight behind it is just easier to me than using a yoga strap or stretching against a wall. I don’t have to use any other body part.I work on an airplane, and I carry the single in my travel bag. I can stretch standing up so I don’t need any space at all to do it. I can stretch while waiting in an airport. When I am home, I bring it in my car and stretch at the dog park while my dog is running around, or anytime I have to wait somewhere. I need to stretch throughout the day, so I try to incorporate it into things.I really love this thing!

Worked perfectly as part of a PT program for Achilles Tendonitis
I purchased the ProStretch because I have (had) severe achilles tendonitis in both legs. I had been suffering from achilles pain for over a year and tried everything short of physical therapy to no avail. After consulting an orthopedic specialist and physical therapist I began a two-month physical therapy program. At the PT office, I used a calf stretching system and the therapist recommended a ProStretch for use at home. I purchased the ProStretch from Amazon and started using it within 2 days of my first therapy session. Admittedly, I did experience a lot of soreness at first, but as time went on, I was able to stretch further and further. When I started therapy, I only had about 4 degrees of movement in both ankles . . . after a few weeks, I was at 15 degrees. The ProStretch IN ADDITION TO the other physical therapy I received all helped to restore normal flexibility and helped to alleviate pain. Granted, I don't want to imply that the ProStretch alone is responsible, because I'm doing a lot of other stretches and exercises, but I will say that it has been great for helping to stretch my calves and restoring flexibility to my ankle area.A few quick things to note: It doesn't come with any instructions, but it's pretty intuitive - just make sure to balance yourself against something pretty substantial at first because until you get used to it, you can be a little wobbly. Also, make sure to wear some kind of footwear when you're on it. The heel plates are great for making sure your feet don't slide off of the back, but if you try it without shoes, the heel plates can be pretty uncomfortable on your feet.Overall, I love the ProStretch and would recommend it to anybody who needs to stretch their lower legs. I'll be using one of these the rest of my life to hopefully maintain the flexibility my PT and I have worked so hard to regain. Definitely a purchase that was well-worth every penny.

Well built and usability.
The Pro Stretcher is solidly made in the USA. The foot placement sections are on the small side and unit is narrower too, both when comparing to Vive calf stretcher purchased previously. Been using these calf stretchers for many years, they work very well for stretching lower back and legs.

Excellent product
This device was recommended to me by one of our best physical therapists in the area. Follow the directions very carefully so that you have proper ergonomics. It’s important to stretch out the hamstrings in the back of your legs. I highly recommend this product.
