We decided to buy this to prank a guy in the office that has been difficult to work with for sometime.I can't even begin to express the sheer joy that we experienced the search for the smoke detector chirp began.The ceiling has exposed, steel beams, and so we planted the device on the top of one.Day 1 was fairly uneventful toward the end of the day. People started asking if they could hear the church, but that was the end of it.The next morning, Day 2, it all changed. They were searching high and low the unplugged computers and plugged them back in. They unplugged printers and plugged them back in everything that you could reboot was rebooted repeatedly. The mini fridge and microwave were unplugged. The air purifier was unplugged. The filter was cleaned and reinstalled to no avail. They also changed all the batteries in the smoke detectors. But for eight hours they had to endure the chirp from hell.Day 3 was more of the same. They searched high and low change the smoke detector, batteries again rebooted everything in the office, rebooted the router and modems and unplugged everything again. Eventually, they removed all the smoke detectors and set them outside. This finally turned their attention to the rafters. They got a ladder and started searching high and low and nothing.At this point, it's become so comical for us in the know that we had to distance ourselves from our other teammates so they couldn't see or hear the smiles and laughter.Day 4, more of the same checking, smoke detectors and computers and microwaves. They turned to the ladders again and searched the steel beams, and finally around noon they located the bane of their existence.They never even questioned who the culprit was. They ended up blaming a teammate that only visits our site every couple of weeks.I cannot emphasize enough how much you have to buy these small devices. The smoke detector and the cricket, as they seem the most realistic. The hours of laughter and the stories you would get to tell later are well worth it.

Bought this as a joke for a weekend trip with friends. It works exactly as said. Hostess was all over the kitchen searching. Thought she found the culprit, turned that off, but nope, just kept on driving them crazy.

We dunno if our buddy found this thing or....not. He aint talkin' - so we are on the lookout for another noisemaker to find its way into our place soon. We got this to re-prank our buddy - so the beep goes on.

Really disappointed it did not work, it worked once when you turn it on then never went off. As an epic prankster, I’m very very disappointed.

This item is so frigging hilarious. I bought this item a month or so ago to hid it in my mom's house while I was dog sitting. It has a strong adhesive back so I hid it behind her clock right below her smoke detector. It beeps every 10 minutes. I totally forgot all about it went back over to her house today about a month later and I hear it beep. I die laughing so ask my mom what's with her smoke detector. She said she had been hearing it all month driving her crazy changing smoke detector batteries buying new ones and so on. Hilarious prank definitely worth the money. Downside is it is a smoke detector noise so got the whole oh I almost unplugged them then you'd feel bad if something happened spiel. Well it didn't and I'm crying laughing so funny a prank.Would totally recommend for harmless prank.

This is by far one of my favorite ones they make. Very loud ! Although sometimes finding a good spot to put it is a little bit difficult depending on the situation. I am currently using it on my step dad and my mother at their house and they cannot seem to figure out why their smoke alarm keeps beeping. So much so calling me over and having me look at it. I just tell them they need to change the battery 🔋 and they tell me they’ve done that. “ hey I’m no expert“ if they buy a new one I hope the beep doesn’t go off when they’re replacing it because then they would lose their minds if they continue to hear the beep on a new smoke detector. In that case I would move it to a different smoke detector in their house and started all over again, and see if they wouldn’t try to replace that one LOL 😂

Was fun but only lasted a day even though it says the batter should last 3-4 days. :/
