Bought this item to connect daughter’s PS5 to Ethernet. The bracket design makes for a very stable plate placement and final look is clean and professional.

It is so nice to have a complete kit - no extra parts needed. It came with a cardboard template that sticks to the wall. Used one of those vibrating cutters to cut out the drywall - perfect fit. I used two of these, back to back, to go through a wall between rooms using short 6" cat-6 cables in between. Made for a super clean and sturdy installation with a neat appearance and works perfectly.

The included cardboard template forTracing the opening on drywall is a nice touch (template even has double sided tape on back for adherence to wall while tracing). Inner bracket is sturdy and clamps to drywall very well. Outer bracket is robust, stiff, and included female-female connector is well made. Highly recommend this product.

After installing a 6 x Rj45 port wall plate in two rooms which are located on separate floors in the building we are able to send audio room to room either as 4 channels of analog, 8 Channels of AES, or hundreds over the Dante network or using AVB per 1 Ethernet cable.Additional plates can daisy chain Ethernet neatly behind the walls to reach distant devices or connect to a network switch.A useful and affordable option for at home Atmos or immersive studios.I plan to buy more to have for a rainy day.

I loved the fact that I could plug an ethernet cable into the back of the port. I didn't want to buy cable and have to crimp it on my own. I bought a 50' cable (which was wayyyyy more than enough to run through my attic) and this has been working perfectly. I'm getting 100 up 100 down no problem.Just an FYI, leave the two screws on the plate that has the weird plastic piece in back. When you put the black plastic part into the wall, you start to tighten the screws and that's what holds it into place. Pretty nifty engineering.

I had my reservations about using these, I have always installed boxes to studs when I needed a new socket. These were not only a snap to install, they are just as solid mounting as a full box. I needed to run some CAT6 cables from my living room to office and used a couple of these mounts and i am a believer! Everything I needed was included and I had the 2 holes cut and the new plates mounted in 10 minutes. I will be using these from here on out!
