How long on average does it take before the water collecting tray at the rear needs emptying ?

It's not emptied as it sits on top of the compressor and it evaporates off.

This fridge is the most quiet I've ever had. It does start and stop quite noticeably, however, within 30 seconds of starting, I had to get very close to it to make sure the fuse hadn't blown in the plug. It's extremely quiet. 39 decibels is equivalent to a very quiet room, in a rural location, on a warm summer day. Hope that's helpful for you.

Does this have an ice box? Top pictures show without then further down the page an ice box appears!

No. No ice box that's why we bought it as we have the equivalent under counter freezer. Only criticism is that it seems to freeze up on the back interior wall.......

How much space does the fridge need in order to ventilate properly (the space I have available for the width is 52cm)?

Cant really answer , never thought about it. The fridge has a few inches spare at the back, seems to be working ok.
