SkinCeuticals Physical Eye UV Defense SPF 50 - 10ml/0.3oz

I had surgery on the skin of my eye and the doctor told me to keep it out of the sun while the scar is healing. So, I was looking for an eye specific sun screen and found this. I really like it, it goes on smooth, does not cake, does not find its way into my eye, and there is no burning like you get with other sun screens if they get close to or in your eye. The tint is good for my skin color, which is light. I would recommend it and I will buy it again when mine runs out. I only use a very small amount, so I don;t know how long it will last, but I hope a while cuz it is pricey.

I had been using an eye cream with SPF from Clinique that unfortunately was discontinued. This summer I have tried a few different brands including an eye cream from Lancôme however always experienced extreme eye irritation and stinging which would cause an hour long headache afterwards.This product is great, though! Provides a light, natural looking pigmentation around the whole area when applied, has a SPF of 50 plus does NOT sting or irritate my eyes, regardless how close to the eye crease I get... great product!

I've ordered this a few times. It works well, but I hate the tint. It's too dark for my skin tone. At first I thought it was blending in fine but then after seeing myself in a few photographs I could see how there were rings of yellow around my eyes! I still use it because it works, but more sparingly- which means it probably doesn't work as well. Usually with sunscreen products if you apply too thinly you don't get the full spf.I know the tint is meant to disguise the whiteness that often comes with good sunscreens, but around the eyes a little lightening usually works well anyway. The problem is that I can't find anything with this high spf that doesn't have tint. So I guess for now I'll continue to wear this and I'll just make sure to cover the yellow racoon eyes this stuff gives me with sunglasses.

I have dark skin so some of the eye sunscreens I've tried definitely did not blend into my skin, especially when using the lightly tapping with index finger technique. But this one blended in very nicely with my skin. Only issue is that it is pretty small tube for the expensive price

I have very sensitive skin and have allergy to many products. SkinCeuticals is one of very few companies that I trust. I have their night cream, serum etc. etc. This is a new product which amazingly can be applied on the eyelids, safely and with no burning sensation. So far so good, I am using it every morning as part of my morning routine. It has a silky texture and nicely applies on the skin. The little tint of a color is very subtle and helps even out the skin tone around the eyes. VERY HAPPY!

Update: Taking down to 2 stars because the nozzle cracked after 3 weeks of use. I'm not the most careful with it but don't treat it different than any other tube that I use and this is the first time one has cracked like this. The plastic in this area seems more brittle than usual so it's no surprise.Original review (4/5):I'm sure the UV protection is top of the line but it's very gritty and doesn't play well with the pastier eye cream I've been layering it with. I've been forced to layer this beforehand, but I'm worried that following it up with another cream might make the SPF less effective not to mention the physical barrier affecting the absorption of the cream which still flakes a bit even when layering after.Your results may vary if you use it alone or with waterier serums but definitely something to consider before making the plunge.

I use this under my eyes as well as on my eyelids. It's tinted in a very nice shade and acts as a concealer as well as SPF protection and I love the creamy texture! I use it on my eyelids under my eye shadow primer, this might seem like a bit much, but I just use a little and I feel like it helps my primer go on smoother. When I want a more natural look, this is all I put on my lids and it looks very clean and natural.
