High Quality, Great Price
My 3 daughters and I love this straightener!! It has adjustable heat settings which is great for us as 2 of us have thin hair and 2 have very thick hair. This straightener heats up super fast, and straightens in one swipe, so it takes very little time to straighten my entire head of hair, which is long. I love the thicker plates so I can straighten bigger sections at once, still only using one swipe. It has a nice grip on the handle to assist with squeezing, it’s super nice, and makes it really easy to use!! TIP: We ALWAYS use a heat protection oil on the last 3 inches of our hair to protect it from the straightening process, it really helps to prevent split/dry ends.

Quick warm up, good quality
I purchased this straightener to replace a different brand that stopped working after 5 years. My old straightener was 1.75”, and with this one I had to choose between 1.5” or 2”. I didn’t want it to be too big, so I opted for the smaller one. My hair is wavy, average thickness and goes to my mid-back. It gets the job done quickly and easily– I only spend about 3 minutes straightening my hair and it’s just enough time to get the frizz and waves out, but not make it stick straight. My favorite feature – how fast it warms up! Within a few seconds I can start using it.I like that it has a safety auto shut off after 60 minutes (for when I leave and wonder “Did I shut my straightener off?”). Fortunately I haven’t forgotten to do that, so I don’t know if it actually does power off after that amount of time.Although I don’t use it, the protector cap is a nice feature. I may use it when traveling, although I usually just wrap the chord around the body of the straightener. If I had a criticism, it would be that it doesn’t indicate the temperature of the first setting, it just says “Power”. According to the instructions the “Power” setting equals 338 degrees, but since it doesn’t show you that on the actual straightener, you just have to remember it. As you press the + button, it does light up to indicate which temperature you are on for the remainder of the settings (365, 392, 415, 455). Also, my old straightener kept the selected temperature between powering off and powering back on. This one always starts at low, so you have to adjust each time you turn it on if you want to use a higher temperature.

Awesom!!!
This is my favorite straightener. I've been straightening my hair since I was 9 (I am now 18) because an awful hair dresser cut my hair way too short and it looked awful because I have always had curly hair, and when your hair is halfway down your ears and curly, you look like a hot mess, even at 9 years old. My sister said it would look better if I straightened it, and I have done so ever since. I bought this straightener 5 years ago when I was in 8th grade because my curly-haired friend had one and her hair looked awesome, and also because my old straightener finally quit on me. It works better than any straightener I have used and works perfect for my medium and long length hair. I often used the highest heat setting for my extremely curly hair, resulting in tons of damage, but that was the only way I could keep my hair decently straight through North Carolina heat and humidity. This straightener doesn't work miracles, because my hair did frizz and wave up if it was raining, humid, hot, or after I sweated, but I can't really expect anything else because that's just how it is when your hair is naturally curly. I also NEVER used heat protectant or any hair products. After 6 years of straightening my curly hair every single day, I decided to stop and embrace my naturally curly hair, a decision I have yet to regret. The damage to my hair was so bad I had to eventually cut 7 inches off my hair even after trying to salvage it for 3 years. But because of the way my hair lays, in my opinion, I look incredibly dumb without straightening the front part of my hair, so I always keep a straightener on me for that reason. After having this straightener for 5 years, it was starting to pull my hair and was really disgusting, and since I'm going to college soon, I was also afraid this one would quit on me when I needed it most. I bought the most top rated straightener off amazon, the HSI professional straightener, to replace it. Big Miss Steak. It sucks in comparison to this, and I had already thrown this straightener away. I returned that straightener and bought this one, again, and am as happy with this one as I was with the other. Along with using this straightener to straighten the front part of my hair every so often, I also straighten all of my hair when I get it trimmed so my hair dresser doesn't brush it (we all know how curly haired girls look when they brush their hair) or wash it (we also all know that washing then cutting your hair always results in a disaster). I don't know how top-end straighteners work, like CHI and what not, but I do know the "professional" straightener that I bought sucked. Therefore I will only use this straightener unless I find something better, and honestly, you can't really beat it for the price.
