I was interested in buying this GPS tracker because I lend my car out to friends and members of my family on a regular basis and I am not entirely convinced that my car is being taken to only the locations where they have indicated they will be. The mileage on the car is frequently higher than it should be for a given trip, and they have it for longer periods of time than they indicated it would take to complete their planned activities. Certain areas of my city are known for being "questionable" so I make it clear I don't want my car there. This GPS tracker allows me to know where my car was at any given moment, and unfortunately, it confirmed what I suspected, that my car was being left in various areas of the city for extended periods of time when I was assured it would not be. Needless to say, a few people are no longer allowed to borrow my car.The manual makes it very easy to get the GPS tracker up, running, and operating. I found the device to provide very timely and accurate GPS tracking information. It easily pinpointed my car within about 3 feet or so. I didn't run into any glitches during operation. The software for Android was very easy to find, install, and use without any prior instruction. I found all the functions of the software were very intuitive for anyone that is proficient with apps designed for a smartphone. I didn't encounter any bugs or crashes while using the software.I have found a number of other uses for the GPS tracker beyond my initial reason for purchasing it. Setting up a geofence for my car, if I got a notice that my car has exceeded the boundaries I had established for it, when it either shouldn't be moving or at a very unusual time of night I would know my car was stolen. It would easily allow for it to be tracked and recovered quickly with the assistance of law enforcement due to the near real time nature of the tracking.This GPS tracker is also useful for my mother as she is elderly and has gotten lost more than once. Sometimes she isn't able to tell me where she is, and she finds GPS navigation too difficult to use. Having this product with her, I can locate her immediately without her having to do anything and I can provide her with guidance over the phone in order to help her navigate her way home or to her destination. The SOS button is also an invaluable feature because she could easily trigger it if she got into an accident or if she was having a medical issue and it would provide her exact location so she could get assistance as soon as possible.My mother also found the geofence feature endlessly useful for her vehicle. My father has a neurological condition and should not be driving. However, he forgets that he shouldn't be driving sometimes, takes the keys and goes for a drive, and more than once it has ended up with him stranded somewhere having no idea how he got there or where he is. This worries my mother to no end and she basically just has to wait for someone to find him and have the authorities bring him home. She constantly worries he will take the car and either get lost or crash the car and hurt himself or someone else. This tracker allows her to know when her car leaves the residence without her knowing and would provide tracking so we would be able to locate my father even if he doesn't know where he is. It could also potentially allow us to stop him quickly after leaving the house so he couldn't go very far since we would get an alert shortly after the geofencing was exceeded.It was also useful for keeping track of my dog. My dog loves spending time outside, but with everything I have to do I can't be outside all the time with him. The issue with this is that we have recently had a problem with people's dogs suddenly going missing from their front yard. This device is small and light enough (for a 75+ lbs dog) that I could easily attach it to the back of his collar and have peace of mind if he escaped from the yard or was taken by someone that I'd immediately know once the GPS tracker moved beyond its designated area. This would allow my dog to spend more time outside without me having to watch him every minute.Overall, given how many uses I have found for this GPS tracker, I expect that it will be my go to item for Christmas this year. I don't doubt the people I am going to gift it to will find it to have just as much utility as I did.

As a protective husband and father, I want to be able to help should they ever have an emergency. God forbid something ever happens on a delivery, it would be nice to know where they are.The Amcrest 4G LTE Tracker, combined with the Amcrest GPS Pro app, allow me to track our vehicle with ease. When the vehicle starts in motion for a new trip, I receive a text. When the vehicle has stopped at the end of a trip, I receive a text (no, I do not receive texts at traffic lights, stop signs, etc.). I can receive texts at other times if I wanted (like if the vehicle goes over a certain speed) but I do not have those options active.The Tracker not only allows me to receive text notifications but with the app I can see exactly where my vehicle is and where it’s been throughout a trip. I can see all these trips for several weeks/months. As of today (1/12/21) I can still see every trip back to when I installed the tracker on 11/25/20.Due to the plan I have (lowest cost per month at $19.99, that pings the tracker only once a minute), it may look like your vehicle has been off-roading when viewing a trip. It most likely hasn’t, but because of the delayed pings the lines indicating direction of movement can go over areas that are not roads. That’s neither a pro or con for me but I felt it should be noted.The battery life is very good. It has lasted a week and a half to two weeks at a time for me and the settings/options I use. I did receive a low battery text alert (as set in settings) the first time I had a low battery but, unfortunately, that feature did not work the last two times the battery was low. In fairness, either I didn’t get the alert or I overlooked it so I can’t blame the device or app as a result. It should also be noted that the battery does need to be recharged so if you’re hoping to track a vehicle, say, at your child’s college, either they’ll have to be kind enough to recharge it for you or it will die after a while.Charging of the battery takes time. As I show in one of the pictures, it took me six (6) hours to fully charge the battery from 0% to 100% today. That’s neither a pro or con for me but I felt it should be noted.The signal strength is very good. I wasn’t sure where to put the tracker but ended up with it in the glove box. Even from there, it has never had a connection issue and has worked reliably.Overall, the Amcrest 4G LTE does what I hoped they would and allow me to know where my vehicle is and has been. Although I use it in a vehicle, this device is small enough it could easily be used in a purse, pocket, etc. to track an individual as well (or motorcycle, bike, etc.)

Great little tracker for the money paid. Wished the yearly service was a bit cheaper but it works well. While on a 2 month road trip family members were able to see where we were alleviating any worries. Charge lasts exactly 2 weeks (30 sec update plan) and recharge on the truck inverter took about 3 hours. The waterproof magnetic case is a nice touch so it can be hidden outside. The website/App were easy to use and liked the low battery email notification option that came with the base monitoring package. The phone support was kind of sketchy due to language issues but the email support was much better so we will stick with that in the future. Bought the monitoring package for one year and will definitely renew it because this is so much better than airtags we used previously.

This SIM card which come with it after activiation doesn’t not comes on network than I don’t know why these are getting sold here . Can u guide me how to make it work in India with indian IsP sim

This unit works like they say it will. This unit connected with the cell and gps signals in less than 30sec. for me and that was sitting in the house with it. My unit is on my ebike and it is stored in an area closed in on 3 sides with a tin roof and stays connected. Once it goes into sleep mode it takes very little movement to wake it and to send me a phone message and an email. It works the way I want it to work if someone were to try and cut the locks the movement doing so will wake it and let me know. It is a little pricey for me as I live in Canada so you have to take the exchange rate into consideration on the monthly cost, but I believe it is worth it. I know if some one attempts to take it I will know about it. Yes I would recommend this and it deserves the 5 stars I gave it.
