Priming for new epoxy shower floor
After two shower pan failures due to improper installationâboth times caused by poor grading underneath the linerâI knew I had to take matters into my own hands. The constant worry of water seeping into the subfloor and causing damage again was something I refused to deal with a third time. This time, I decided to create a proper water barrier above the floor tile using this primer before applying an epoxy layer on top. And let me tell you, this product delivered exactly what I needed! The application was incredibly straightforwardâno complicated steps, no excessive prep work. The consistency was perfect for even coverage, and it adhered beautifully to the surface. It dried quickly, leaving a solid base that gave me confidence in my next step. With this primer sealing everything in, Iâm finally breathing easy knowing that my shower floor is protected from future leaks. If youâre tackling a DIY shower project and need an extra layer of defense, I highly recommend this product. It could save you from expensive and frustrating repairs like the ones I went through!â Pros:â Easy to applyâ Quick dryingâ Creates a strong waterproof barrierâ Cons:None so farâjust make sure you follow the instructions properly!

Works Great!
Used it as a primer coat on a door with a veneer finish, and then painted over it. Easy to adhere, dried quickly and coat of paint went on easily once the primer dried. VERY happy with the results. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the plastic ring that is on the can was nearly impossible to get off- even with the provided tool.

Works great for amateur like me
Only painted tile once before with Rustoleum, but this is much better! Smoot application, low VOC, and easy to use and wash off. Came with a super tight plastic seal that I appreciate since shipping can cause spills, but it was hard to pry off đ. Just means it did its job. It also came with a can opening making it easy for me to open and close the cover. The quality is great. I sanded the tile lightly, cleaned it, and painted over it with roll then a brush. Brush is much better for me as it created a smoother finish imo. My tile is bumpy (it's why I painted it) so pics don't it justice, but it feels really smooth to touch. It still needed some touch ups after first coat as I can see thinner parts, but I had a really small section so I can afford another coat and still have leftover paint. Wish it was cheaper, but I do feel the money was = to value. But if you have a bigger space it will add up $$, especially if you want extra coats. It can get scratched with a metal edge as I scraped off some bumps and peel off loose bristles from my dollar-store brush. My final touch up was using a paper bag to lightly sand it smoother. Best tip found on YT from carpenters! Overall a great purchase.

Without this you wonât have a fantastic finish
I used two of these over 3 days. I removed most of the epoxy on the ceramic tiles. I laid on at least 3 coats of this primer and let it dry 3 days then applied the epoxy paint. It came out Awesome!

Painted bathroom floor is still flawless 5 YEARS LATER!!!!
I started a small DIY project right before COVID, and that turned into redoing my entire house over the next two years. I have painted every kind of surface with this primer, including GLASS. Every one of those projects is still intact after 4-5 years. AND I MEAN PERFECT!!!! The photos here are of my en-suite bathroom. We don't take any special care of this floor anymore. We did at first, but now we treat it as if it was regular tile. Not a scratch. The layers are STIX primer, chalk paint for the stencil, and water-based polycrylic. I painted that same bathroom's tiled countertop with another primer, and that's all peeled since. I will redo with STIX. My guest bathroom floor was painted using the Rustoleum floor painting kit, and that chipped too after a couple of years. As we speak, it now has STIX primer on it so I can re-stencil it tomorrow. I will never use any other primer for anything. Ever. I'm a forever fan.
