This Weleda Skin Food Intensive Skin Nourishment Body Butter is, by far, the best skin cream I have ever used and I've tried a lot in my time. I had bought some lotion elsewhere and discovered that Shea Butter is good for my very dry skin. This particular product from Weleda contains Shea Butter and it works better than I could have imagined for night use. I put in on before bed each night and concentrate on everywhere I can reach!I do believe it has added moisture to my very sore, dry elbows, arms, hands and the rest of my beautiful body! I wish I'd thought to try it years ago but it's better late than never. I have lost my sense of smell so I couldn't rate it on its odor but my cats don't shun me when I come near them after having used it so that's a good indication that the scent isn't strong.My very dry elbows have cleared up and what has impressed me most is that, with regular use, I no longer have the crepey marks on the inside of my arms at the top, and going down to my forearms. I was told nothing could eliminate them but this has, with regular use. It's made the skin on my feet less dry, as well as on my legs. I realized today that had I found this product soon, it would have saved me that lousy feeling of having dry skin, even after I'd put lotion or cream on it.I will never be without this product in my home! I highly recommend it to anyone who has dry skin. It has helped my skin so much, it shocks me. Even my hands, which have those lovely blue veins some people get on them, seem to have smoother skin surrounding the veins and what more can I ask, at the age of seventy-one?For the record, I never sat in the sun but I have what my Dermatologist called "Lousy, light Northern European Skin." That kind of summed it up! But now this German company is coming to my rescue!

I bought the tube of Weleda skin food in the past, but I discovered I like the jar better. It's really easy to use, and a little goes a long way. It's super-moisturizing, and has a nice, light, fresh scent. This is not only good for hands and other body parts, but can also be used as a facial moisturizer. The moisturizing effects last for a long time. Your skin doesn't feel dry again after a few hours like some moisturizers. I really like this stuff, and will buy it again. I recommend it for people with dry skin. It's best to use right after washing your face, or showering, while your skin is still slightly damp.

I rarely leave online reviews but I have to rave about this body butter...I’ve searched for great lotions/butters for a long time at varying price points, but this is my new staple. I don’t like body butters that sit on top of your skin without absorbing. I live in Florida, and a body butter that’s too heavy will feel slick and sticky on my legs in the heat.This body butter absorbs into your skin in just a couple of minutes so that your skin is truly moisturized, not just slathered with a sticky layer.I used to lotion myself twice a day but this stuff lasts 24 hours so now I only have to do it after my shower.5 oz may not seem like much product, but you really only have to use a little bit because the cream is very thick and rich. It’s basically the texture of actual butter. A little goes a long way. I plan to try weleda’s other products soon so that I can see what else in my medicine cabinet I can replace.

I have seriously dry skin and an aversion to lotions that make me feel like I've been slathered with...anything. Weleda body butter is thick going on but in no time flat it absorbs into the skin and just feels...wonderfully normal. It's not sticky or greasy at all and smells quite nice (at least to my nose). It's sort of citrusy, not heavily perfumey, and it doesn't complete with your fragrance. It might seem a tad expensive but it's a good sized tub and lasts a long time even if, like me, you use it every day. I think it's one of the world's best moisturizers. So there you go.

Finally!! I've been a long time user of the regular Skin Food for my face, hands and trouble spots, but it's so thick and certainly not meant to be spread all over your body. And my favorite body creams are around $30-50+, so this seemed like my prayers had been answered - and turns out, they were! This cream has the best consistency (no more watery lotions that leave you feeling dry 2 hours later), but spreads and soaks in easily. It smells good, feels luxurious and my skin is so hydrated! I'm in love.

I love everything about this product. It has a lovely, spreadable consistency and makes my skin soft and supple. As I recall, other reviewers talked of using it as a facial moisturizer. I tried it under make-up, but it was too oily for that. But, my skin tends to be oily, so it may work better on extra dry skin. I have a regimen for my face that I like so I just use it as a body moisturizer. Some also complained of the scent. I'm sensitive to strong, chemical odors, but this does not bother me, probably because it is not a heavy perfume scent. I will order again and check out other products from this company.
