Useful for my case
Cable management is always fun, not. Needed these to run the fan cables where I wanted them to be. They're great and do exactly what I needed them to do. Their casing makes it easy to route them confidently and they help prevent noise. The connectors are mounted well and connect easily to the other connectors.

Its a cable
Its an extension cable.. there isn't much to it. The only reason I buy these instead of getting the cheapest I can find is because I assume Noctua (as a brand with a reputation) at least *looks* at these things before shipping them out to make sure they aren't missing pins or something. I'd rather pay 2 more bucks than have to deal with a return.

Excellent Desktop / Server Builders acessory
Excellent flexibility, wide variety of colors to choose from, and great connecting tips. My motherboard has a fan connector that's located on the top of the board and this fan extension cable allowed me to connect both my system fans (one for intake and one for venting to the outside of the case) to the motherboard connecting pins that offers unique settings in the system BIOS / setup options for setting fan speed (auto, low, medium, high, etc). the Blue cable I chose fit perfectly on the motherboards connecting pins and even though the cable were bundled up in packaging, when straightened out the colored "exoskeleton" if you will stiffened and offered a great "finished" and visual appealing look for any installation - especially those who wish to brag or show off their computer with those whom have see through panels on the sides or even those whom may have an open designed case. These are great fan connecting extension cables (3 or 4 pin). Upon purchase anyone whom is interested in the visual appearance as well as quality will be more than happy with these. Again, they come in a wide variety of colors which is great. My system is mainly based on a blue color scheme. My motherboard does have a "always on" green LED lights that lets me know power is getting to the board and another green one on a add-in card reader / usb 3.0 front panel floppy drive bay hub with that connects to an internal 19-pin connector. I'm not too picky though - although it would be nice to choose the LED light color of those board / front panel lights to make a more customized final build. I've seen some some old automotive cassette / FM stereo receivers in my days that had the removable security front plate design and one I owned had a toggle switch to change the illumination of the digital display from amber to green (the only option). I've also seen many Christmas tree lighting strands that have those multi-color controlled wave / flashing / dimming / etc tree lights. I guess, in my opinion, it would be great to see something like that added to computer hobbyists / builders choice list.

Worked
Needed to extend the cable to some fans to properly cable manage. Noctua has great fans and products in general, highly recommend.

AV Cooling System Application
I created a system to provide cooling for an AV cabinet in a closet. Components include Aventage, Emotiva and Oppo. The cooling equipment used includes:1. Noctua Fans (3) (model# NF-S12A PWM)2. Noctua Fan controller (model# NA-FC1)3. Noctua Extension cables (model# NA-SEC1)4. Cablemod's molex to SATA cable (model# CM-CAB-MSAP 45KK-R)5. Coolerguys AC power adaptor (110V AC to DC 12V Power Supply with 4 pin Molex)The fans are laid flat on top of the receiver and amplifier pulling air up through the units. Of course, the anti-vibration corner pieces protect the AV equipment and prevent the fans from moving around. There is approximately 4" between the top of each AV component and the shelf above. This seems to allow sufficient air circulation. All Noctua components were packaged nicely and functioned perfectly out of the box. Connections are solid. Using the fans full speed, they are very quiet and are effective in keeping the components at less than 82F degrees. The Noctua Fan Controller is tiny -- about the size of a man's thumb. When setting up the system, I reached out to Noctua for some technical assistance. They were prompt and provided excellent guidance on connecting the power supply to the speed control (Cablemod's connector). The Cablemod's cable has solid connections and functions well. The only thing that would be nice is an outer sheath to keep all four wires together for a cleaner appearance. The Coolerguys AC power adaptor appears well made and functions well to power the three fans.Overall, the system has been running for about 1 month and I am quite satisfied with each of the components and would recommend them to anyone looking for an effective cooling system for an AV cabinet.
