The Magic School Bus on the Ocean Floor

学校の図書館からいつも借りてきているシリーズなので、家用にも購入しました。 理科の内容について、子供用とはいえ、深い内容が書かれていて、プレゼントにもおすすめです

The school bus undergoes a marvelous series of transformations including a giant surf board, to transport us to and through the ocean, from tidal pols, down to the deep ocean floor, and, after a brief stop in the waters of a tropical island (coral reef!,) home. We were touched by the cameo of a local specimen of fish (we`re from Hawaii.) However, OUR lifeguards are nothing like Lenny who is purely fictional and, unlike the rest of the book, profoundly lacking in substance, not to mention brains. Real lifeguards back home, patrol their strip of beach and keep watch over the waters. They also patiently answer our questions about the local fauna, and just as patiently patch up even the smallest of "boo-boos." Minus one star for lenny. Otherwise, chock full of interesting facts, and witty and detailed illustrations.

この夏休みに海に連れていき、大変喜んでいました。 この本の影響もあるのかな。

自分の語彙力をつけるために英語の絵本を読んでいます。この本を何気なく選んだのだけど、つい最近水族館に行ったばかりなのでとても楽しく読めました。４歳の子供も、ママ、これ海遊館のサメみたい、て喜んで絵を眺めています。こんなシリーズがあったなんて初めて知りました。子供が科学に楽しく興味を持てるすばらしい本だと思います。我が子にはまだ早いけれどスクールバスが潜水艦のようになったり、巨大なサーフボードになったり、絵だけ見てても楽しい。子供にぜひ読んでもらいたいのだけれど、字が少し細かいので日本語版も欲しいです。近いうちに全作品集めたいです。

As always, the Magic School Bus did not disappoint. As captivating as the show, these magical stories are always fun for students. My kindergartners love the story and learn a lot.

Huge fan of the series! In retrospect I would've bought a box set instead of individual books, but the book itself is good!

Works across a range of reading abilities. It grows with the child.

These books are a lot of fun, witb great i formation and side notes to read along as you go. Great little books with a lot of information
