I finally got a Mondaine watch to add to my collection. On sale at Amazon right now. The design is simple yet elegant. I really like the 41mm face. Very easy to read, and no surplus gimmics to clutter up the dial. It is very light on the wrist and the rubber strap will last forever. The strap itself has a very interesting design feature. There are two strap loops. The one closest to the buckle is fixed. But the second loop slides and has a nub that fits into the strap holes. The last strap hole is larger, to accommodate the nub and keeps it from sliding. I have a rubber strap on another watch and even though it is years old it still looks and feels like new. I disagree, with some of the reviews here, that the watch looks and feels cheap. Comparing it to a toy watch is ridiculous. It feels great on my wrist. It is lighter than their manual wind watches and significantly less expensive. All around a great timepiece. My Rolex will get a well deserved rest now.

Good looking minimalist watch. I wear it often.

Such a classic face and I admire the effort to be environmentally sensitive. Trouble is, the effort is concealed in a “cheap looking” package. The raised casing the lens sits in and the thin shiny strap just takes away any classy look it had. Definitely a mismatch. Really wanted to like it. The clock design is historic and epitomizes the face of Switzerland. Too bad about its “hip” housing. I returned it.

This is a beautiful looking watch; however the strap failed within a couple of months, and the face seems to scratch really easily.

It's my 3rd time purchasing from Mondaine. It's very nice and slick. Love it.

First the service related to the order was great I received the watch promptly. That said it’s trash At fifty it might be an okay watch but at 200 it shouldn’t have a plastic case, and printed face. The description on amazon says stainless steel but this is a plastic watch. If I had searched the mondaine website the part number did match with the watch I received. But I shouldn’t have to double check behind amazon.

Gave as a gift, recipient seemed to love it.

Works well, and is very clean!
