Powerful and Reliable 2.5G Network Switch
This YuanLey 10-port unmanaged Ethernet switch exceeded my expectations. The 8 x 2.5G Base-T ports plus 2 x 10G SFP slots provide excellent speed and flexibility for my home network setup. It’s completely fanless and runs quietly, which is a huge plus. Easy to install on my desktop and compatible with all my devices, including NAS and wireless access points. Solid build quality and great performance—highly recommend.

Well built, easy setup
Seems to be a solid switch with a metal case. Setup was easy - I was literally up and running in 2 minutes. 2.5GB ports took slightly longer to negotiate than 1GB ports but all ports negotiated to the correct speed/duplex within a few seconds. I do not have any 10GB devices to test the SFP+ ports. Traffic seems to be flowing properly with no errors detected. Being significantly less expensive than competing products, I'll have to wait and see how it withstands the test of time but my initial experience and impressions have been excellent.

Great value!
Works well for my home server and networking. Love the faster speeds!

Does exactly what it says it does. Reliably.
I bought this to terminate the upstairs end of an optical fiber (Using a cheap 10GBase-SR SFP+) between the upstairs and downstairs of my AZ home. I wanted optical fiber because my connection is up/down and in AZ the induced surge in copper Ethernet from nearby (~ 1 mile) lightning strikes has twice blown out simple Ethernet switches.I knew with only a 1Gbps internet connection into my home it would be over-kill for bandwidth but I wanted to be ready for full-duplex fiber arriving one day. I had not appreciated the improvement in subjective LAN behavior brought by the lower latencies introduced by the fast buffer movements in my switches though. I do move large video files and Linux distribution ISOs around my network and now regularly see 600MBps (disk limited) transfers, and 150MBps for thousands of small files too. Very happy. This switch is quiet (fanless), runs cool, is so far reliable, and fast. The fabric is able to keep up with multiple 10GbE flows so it checks all of my needs, even the ones I had not realized before purchase. It does accept off-brand (cheap) SFP+.Recommended.

Easy plug and play 2.5Gb RJ45 10GB sfp+
works great. plug it into your 2.5GB capable router and split it off to other pcs. Also has 2 SFP+ ports for high speed LAN between 2 pcs on home network. SFP+ 10gig card 40$ SFP+ transceiver 12$ 8$ for lc to lc multimode fiber cable. If you have multiple pcs that sends data backs and forth this is the ultimate setup on buget. 10gb copper is good but those components cost much more. After a few days of use I have come to realize the SFP transceiver gets very warm when in the switch. I put a small desk fan set on low to move a little air into the vent holes o one side of switch and out the other side. this helped tremendously. SFP+ transceiver is a 10gtek

Broke after 4 days
Review for is for the [sic] "6 Port 2.5G Umanaged Ethernet Switch, 4 x 2.5G Base-T Ports, 2 x 10G SFP" variant.I purchased this to replace a SFP+ media converter while providing a few extra 2.5G ports. While it worked fine initially, including speed tests showing full ISP bandwidth (2Gbit) over both 2.5G and 10G ports, after about 4 days it stopped passing most traffic, only allowing DNS and ICMP (just enough to ping successfully), but no other web traffic. Restarts and trying other transceivers (3Com, Ipolex, 10Gtek, and a few others) did not help. All my transceivers work fine in my other equipment (two Mikrotik switches and the 10Gtek media converter), as does my ISP gateway and other switches. When I put my 10Gtek media convertor back in place everything functions again without even rebooting a single machine. One of the 2.5G ports was connected to one of my Ubuntu machines that runs nightly Github actions that shows it failed in the middle of the night. No network configuration changes could have been made at that time to cause problems. The problem affected all ports and all of my computers, both Windows and Linux.Given it initially worked but failed after a few days I'm concerned the manufacturing quality is poor and would not feel confident a replacement would be reliable over time. This is a very odd failure mode for an unmanaged switch. There's nothing to configure and no other network configuration changes occurred when it failed since it happened in the middle of the night. This was used in a climate controlled environment (my home) at all times with all other networking components in provably working condition.

Nice value, but runs super hot at 10GbE speeds.
Passed traffic at acceptable levels, but be warned that using 10GbE to RJ-45 SFP's get very, very hot. So hot I couldn't touch them after some use. The metal case for the switch was also extremely hot around the SFP cage. SFP's do get warm and I have used these in Mikrotik switches, but this was exceptional. Consider the use of a fan above the case to draw more air over the internal cage going forward. Also keep your eye on the plastic RJ-45 connector as the snap in was soft from the radiant heat.
