Do you have to use a lot of muscle to stuff casings with this machine?

This product is very powerful as a meat grinder but after you have your meat ready to stuff your casings it takes a lot of work, better to buy a stuffer to save time.

What detergent is safe to use?

I use Dawn dish detergent. Make sure all pieces are completely DRY before save it. It is very important that pieces or dry, any wetness will cause pieces to rust. I don't think detergent matters.

Is this dish washer safe? If not why.

No parts for any grinder are dish washer safe. They will corrode. It doesn't take much effort to scrub something clean
