Good but a bit unsual
Really good toothpaste. Works well, my teeth feel clean and seems to be helping my gums. The texture and taste are definitely different to usual toothpaste (maybe a bit odd), but not nasty or gross for me personally. The toothpaste is a much thicker (denser), almost drier texture than normal toothpaste, but it foams up well. The taste is like normal toothpaste if the mint were dialled way down. Kind of an alkaline taste. Best way for me to describe it is like when you've been chewing chewing gum a little while, still a slight minty taste but not a lot. It leaves my mouth clean but not necessarily 'fresh' tasting or smelling so I follow it with the cosodyl mint mouthwash which works well.

The toothpaste is great.
Yes, it has a different taste and is more gritty than usual toothpaste, but it's because it has the bicarbonate soda in it, but that is why this toothpaste works better than others, so you need to just get used to it. I don't know why in the description it says it has apple taste because it has nothing to do with apple, and also it doesn't say that on the package et, so the description is misleading. My teeth feel cleaner and look better. The only downside and why I gave the 4 stars is the tube. It is thinner and longer than normal and it makes it harder to unscrew the cap because the tube twists in your hand and squeezes toothpaste out into the cap.

The Day My Gums Staged a Protest
I used to think brushing my teeth was a low-stakes, no-drama routine—just a swipe of generic paste and off I’d go. But then my gums decided to throw a revolt. One day, I glanced in the mirror, and they looked angrier than a toddler denied candy. Desperate for a solution, I stumbled upon Corsodyl Toothpaste Ultra Clean and decided it was time to call in the cavalry. From the moment I popped the cap, I knew this was no ordinary toothpaste. It had a certain boldness to it—like it was daring me to let it handle the mess my mouth had become. So I squeezed a pea-sized blob onto my brush, feeling simultaneously nervous and optimistic. Within seconds of brushing, I felt a deep clean that was almost…therapeutic. A gum spa, if you will.It wasn’t just the taste or texture; it was the sensation that my gums were finally under professional care, like they’d booked an exclusive VIP treatment. My teeth felt as though they had been individually polished, and my breath? Fresher than a mountain breeze. For the first time in months, I wasn’t wincing at the thought of my next dentist appointment. After a few days of consistent use, I noticed my gums were no longer staging morning protests. They seemed calmer—like they’d been invited to a Zen retreat. I could bite into my breakfast bagel without bracing for discomfort. Even my friends (who never comment on oral hygiene, by the way) started saying things like, “Your smile looks…different.” I just grinned and showed off my newly settled gums. And here’s the real kicker: brushing became a ritual I looked forward to, rather than a chore I rushed through. With Corsodyl Ultra Clean, I wasn’t just polishing my teeth—I felt like I was giving my gums the daily attention they’d always wanted but never received. So if you’ve ever felt like your gums are one bad brush away from mutiny, do yourself a favor and give this toothpaste a try. Trust me, your mouth will thank you—and you might just find yourself smiling a whole lot more.

Definitely reduces gum bleeding, but it feels a bit odd.
I was getting quite a bit of blood when I spat out after brushing my teeth. I've used Corsodyl (the heavy duty liquid, not the "Daily" blah) and it quickly cut my bleeding down. But you can't use this for more than a few days at a time or you get teeth staining. So I bought the Corsodyl toothpaste to give it a few months trial. The paste part is slightly brown, slightly gritty, and uses bread soda (sodium bicarbonate) which is a bit of a shock compared to the more usual minty, gooey paste (eg Colgate) I have used for decades. It, or the active ingredient, does leave a slightly salty taste in the mouth that linger for hours. I use a soft bristle. Some days I see no blood, other days just a trace. I feel like the inside of my lips is getting irritated though, like a cold sore that never happens. I'm not sure yet if this is the total solution. I'll finish out the tube, and then maybe switch to old-fashioned toothpaste, with occasional use of the Corsodyl liquid, and see if that suits me better.

Not the apple flavour advertised.
I bought this as it said that the flavour was apple. Sad to say it's nothing like apple and as I have Oral Lichen Planus I found there was one ingredient in the mix that affected it and made it painful to use. But a great big NO for the flavour.
