These 4-inch casters deserve every bit of praise! From the moment I installed them, it was clear these are a cut above the rest. It's important to note that engaging the brakes does not lock the swivel of the caster, only the wheel itself. It provides a nice balance between stability and maneuverability.A Small Note on Mounting Hardware. While the casters themselves are outstanding, I do have one recommendation: consider upgrading the mounting bolts to a higher grade. The included bolts are fine, but since these casters are rated to hold an impressive 2,200 pounds, using stronger, higher-grade bolts would provide extra peace of mind, especially for very heavy-duty applications.If you're looking for durable, exceptionally smooth-rolling casters that can handle real-world garage conditions and offer functional braking, look no further. This is the second time I’ve bought these casters. I use them under heavy power equipment. Other brands I’ve used don’t position the center of gravity over the wheel like these do. As a result, the loads are tipsy and you need to fight to position the tool. These are smooth as silk making movements easy and safer. They also are easy to lock and unlock with just your foot. The price is very reasonable considering the quality. I’ve paid more for much less. These castors won’t disappoint.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Color, size & strength. Happy with the casters - sturdy and smooth functioning. Came with wood screws instead of nuts & bolts as described, but I wouldn’t have been able to use either, so no real issue.

Used on a wood platform to move our Lemon Tree (planted in an old apple barrel), in and out of garage.Rolls smoothly and wheels lock with an easy push. Great product.

Seem to be very sturdy, and I like the build of the wheels. No slipping when locked. I did receive an order that was obviously returned, as the bag that had the nuts and bolts was open and not all of them were returned. Don't know if that was on Amazon or the Supplier. Not returning them as it's an easy fix, however, I would recommend before beginning installation to make sure all parts on in the box.

There is nothing quite as annoying as casters on shop furniture that don’t work. I recently added these to a table saw base where they made a frustrating moving process incredibly easy. These are well made, do an outstanding job on concrete, and without a doubt can hold 220lbs each. These mount via 4 bolts each (or lag bolts) and can be slightly adjusted in the mounting process. To lock, just step on the pedal that indents into the wheel and vice versa to unlock. I wish that all of my casters were as smooth and easy to use as these. They are a great buy for the money.

Good quality, used for new work table in my shop

I bought these for use on a portable wood storage cart. Full confession, I did destroy one of the casters, however, I asked far too much of that poor wheel. It went down a two inch drop with a fully loaded cart (4 sheets 3/4" MDF, 2 sheets 1/2 plywood, 2 sheets 1/4 Luan, several 8 foot 2x4s, plus a bunch of short scrap pieces of various wood) and one plastic wheel shattered. Prior to my mistake the casters operated flawlessly. They roll easily, including over cracks in the concrete, and 3 of 4 casters even survived the abuse. I replaced the broken caster and added two more and have not had any further issues.
