I wanted to get my boyfriend a scrabble board that was sturdily built and was made of quality wood! Most boards that were wood and seemed nice were way out of my price range so this was a great alternative for the quality but smaller size! The board is so pretty and its smaller size has lent it self to use as we now carry it to our coffee shop or park to play outside. The board is quite small but neither of us really mind. Since it’s a travel board there are indents to keep the tiles in places which has been so hopeful since I’m known to accidentally mess the whole board! Highly recommend!!

Really like this Travel Scrabble! The compact wooden tiles are easy to handle, and the velvet bag is a plush touch for tile selection. The board's petite size makes it easy to spin around on a café table, perfect for those intense moments when you need to double-check your triple-word score. But it’s not too small or finicky. It's also sturdy enough to brave a breeze if you're playing outside.Despite its compact size, there's still room for a drink, a snack, and even your Scrabble dictionary on your two-top table. When you’re done, everything packs neatly into the travel box, which I keep in my car for impromptu games. A charming set for Scrabble lovers.

If it was expensive, I'd have been more critical. Some criticism I could think of is that in the folded position, you have to make sure to know where to hold it as the sliding boards can slide out and fall. The rails also aren't that secure. So if you do slide it in out of alignment, it's going to snag. The set is for travel, but not designed to be played in a moving vehicle, or without a flat level surface. It's because the four tile holders are just like the traditional ones where tiles can easily fall off if you are holding the whole thing in your hand.The tiny size didn't bother me. That's its travel advantage. Available Scrabble score keeper apps on your phone also makes pen and paper unnecessary. And since it has no rubber feet, I do not advise placing the open board on a surface that may scratch it. It's still partially hand made so the unit you could get may vary.

Nice looking set, mostly well made. One star off for minor annoyances: The finish on outer box is easily scratched - mine came new out of the package already with some visible nicks. The included tile bag is a thick material but a little small - if you try to put all the tiles in it at the end of the game the bag will bunch up and not fit back in the case for storage. The tiles are a a little hard to read in some lighting unless you're looking straight down at them. The racks could be slightly wider make it easier to shuffle letters around.None of these issues make it unusable, and for now this looks like the best available travel set.

Don't women play Scrabble too?This item is well made and perfect for traveling. My wife and I play Scrabble daily and we failed to pack the board for our last trip. In a pinch, I ordered this item for next day delivery. It arrived on time (and the peasants rejoiced) and the vacation was saved. :) This guy now resides permanently in the car.The board is solidly built. The board and tiles are wood (not flimsy plastic). The entire thing packs neatly into a small space for travel. We travel mostly by car, but you could easily pack this into a backpack, computer bag, or carry-on.The only drawback is that the tiles are (ironically) somewhat small for an average man's hands.

It arrived on time. Portable, fun to play and better quality than the plastic.

Nice size Scrabble for travel. The one epic fail is the trays for the letters are too short. They don't allow for moving your tiles as you play.

I bought for me. I'm bed bound and love it to play alone. The pieces stay put
