Good battery, get an Ifixit if you want to open the iPod, do not use the plastic tools
Its a great replacement for the battery, It came with around 75% of the battery I just had to charge it, I still have to keep testing it. For the people who says that is a bad battery is because they used the plastic tools which do not work correctly in order to open the ipod, you should buy a different tool like the Ifixit and watch some youtube videos, easy installation and good battery hours. Great quality

Garbage tools that break when you use them
Just tried opening my ipod with these and nearly destroyed it. The prybar spudger is total garbage and I broke both ends off in 10 minutes. No clue it the battery is any good because I'll never get to replace it with the terrible tools.

Battery doesn't charge, tried twice with the same product
I've ordered this twice now; both times, it would not charge after being plugged into the battery connector. This isn't a user error, either; I tried re-attatching my old bloated battery to see if I had made a mistake somewhere in the process (black in the photo), and the old battery charged just fine. Both times I've used this battery, it just won't function the way it's supposed to. I was really excited because the lithium battery already had a charge, but it just wouldn't hold anything when plugging it in (says it's charging, only for the battery to go DOWN). This is really disappointing for me; I'm restoring my childhood iPod and was so excited to use it with a battery that could hold a charge.

Fits like a glove
The tool kit is kind of worthless. Used some feeler gauges to release the case backing. Easy to extract the old battery and then replaced the battery with the new one. Everything works great. Did a full charge on the new battery after testing the ipod functions.

The battery works great, the tools not so much
The tools broke immediately. I had to order a different better set of tools to actually replace the battery. The battery works great, you do have to discharge and recharge it a couple times to get it to work correctly.
