I purchased this pencil after extensive research, including watching several review videos on YouTube (they almost gave me a PhD).The pencil is a thing of beauty. It's comfortable to use in terms of ergonomics: slim but not too slim, the grip is strong and the rest of the body is smooth as it glides on my fingers as I write. Also very smooth, though substantial credit for that goes to my 2B pencil leads.The highlight of this pencil, of course, is the "roulette" mechanism that keeps the pencil lead rotating by a small angle every time the lead touches the paper: this ensures that you get a fresh (non-beveled) side of the tip every time you put it down to write. I was a little skeptical because I thought that in order to do that the pencil lead will have to move substantially, but when I actually started using it, I saw that the the dip is practically imperceptible. There's a little orange window showing you the rotating mechanism.Also, in some reviews I read people say that it is good for people who sketch or write in printed (non-cursive) letters but not so much for curve writing. Well, I see your point, it does have some merit to it. But I write almost exclusively in cursive and prefer the pencil to a pen wherever I can choose, and I still see and appreciate the freshened tip for every new word.I love this Uni Kurutoga Roulette Mechanical Pencil. You will, too, if you like writing with mechanical pencils. Most probably.

Weight: It's a little bittle heavy but,okQuality: The quality is very good its bodyparts were made up of metal.plastic is there that is inside andat the tip and bottom.Overall it's value for money

Honestly, the rotating mechanism was a bit of an overkill. Don’t really need it. And it was made of plastic for this price.

This is one of the pencils where you know even if it costs very high for the Indian market, it still is profitable. Everything about the pencil is just too good. The grip is made of metal and you get a warm touch to it, it is longer than your average pencils and weights more which makes your lines balanced. Even if you are just using it for writing or drawigns, this is a product that is worth it and I'm not sponsored to say this so you can take my word for it

Great product with solid body. Found it better to use as compared to plastic-body pencils. Reasonably priced. Would be nice if the sleeve were retractable, hence easier to carry in the pocket. Also, would be nice to use with softer leads instead of the standard HB. These types of pencils are better suited for writing Chinese or Japanese characters, which consist of strokes, rather than cursive handwriting.

Kept on pressing d knob from behind but d lead refuses to budge on 18th day after purchase ! It hurts - Rs 900/- gone down the drain !

For those looking for a self lead dispensing pencil, this one is not. The tip just rotates on being placed on paper every time you lift pencil and wrote the next word or alpha. I wonder if they could cater for rotation of lead with such complex mechanisms, why couldn't they simply add a self dispensing mechanism which is otherwise available in other brands for as low as 50 rupees. What's the point of lead rotationg when one has to press the pencil each time to being the lead out and at that very time could rotate the pen in hand and continue drawing or writing.
