I sprained my thumb and it was very painful to use or if it got bumped. This protects the injured thumb from bumps and holds it straight. It also eliminates the pain during the day. I use it during the day whole I work on the computer, without an Issue. It is a bit bulky but I don't mind that. The metal in the top of the brace is what secures the thumb in place. The velcro straps are easily adjustable and very secure. I have been washing these in a garment bag. Sometimes I still have to take it off to do things, like cooking n the kitchen. My thumb hurts when I leave these all day though due to not moving it at all so I take it off to sleep. I will still have to go to the doctor at some point to get a medical grade split to heal my two month old injury. I saved one to give to my mother since she often injuries her finger working on the farm. I am extremely thankful for this splint.

Helpful and comforting for my thumbs and fingers

The brace against “trigger thumb” works fairly well and is a welcome change from a brace which wrapped around the wrist. It won’t absolutely prevent bending the thumb joint, but I don’t need perfection, just support and ease of use. This meets those requirements.

Much better than some of the other styles I tried. It fits well and keeps my thumb stable. Surprisingly, it worked even after keeping it on during daily showers, which was helpful because washing my hair caused my thumb to very painfully lock without it.

These have been a life saver as I work through trigger thumb. They have helped prevent my thumb from locking accidentally. Fully adjustable and nice looking. There is a metal spine inside that keeps them from bending. Don't get them wet or dirty unless you want to replace them frequently. I wear a glove to do dishes for example. I would definitely buy these again and would even say they are good to keep in a well stocked first aid kit.

These work so much better than the thumb splint wrist brace I was using when I first sustained my injury. This keeps my thumb perfectly straight and still allows me to use the rest of my hand, which is incredibly important because I still have to work 40 hours a week. Just go easy on the velcro -- the more you adjust it or remove it, the integrity of the velcro decreases (now I just undo the top and slide it off my thumb when I need to take it off). 10/10 would recommend!

while not perfect, if you need a finger splint, this is the least intrusive, easiest to wear while still allowing finger function--without being as cumbersome as most others.
