Disclosure, I am a fan of the North Face brand, and I have a backpack that has been with me for over a decade, and I try every time to replace with a different model. Since the previous one is black, and the next one is black, I decided to try a different color this time.Bottom line - this backpack combines style, comfort, and practicality. My son used this as a freshman in college. It fit his laptop and books. Comfortable and durable.

I wanted a smaller backpack to replace my diaper bag and read tons of specs and reviews of different bags. I had settled on this one for the price and smaller size, but one critical detail I had missed until the bag arrived was that the front pocket is only half the depth of the bag. So mostly you have the main pocket for everything. The are smaller pockets for organization in the front pocket, but when I placed items in here, if I opened the pocket fully, it dumped the contents as it just flopped completely open. Because of this design, this bag would not work for my purposes, so I decided to return the bag.Otherwise the bag looked nice, and the material seemed sturdy. The zippers worked well at least in my testing out the bag.If you'll primarily be using the main compartment and only placing a few items in the front, I think this would work well. If you are hoping for multiple pockets for organizational purposes, I think a different bag would work better.
