A well designed and easily controlled light…
An excellent light for my desktop computer. The features and functionality of this light far exceeded what I expected. It costs a bit more but it’s worth the investment. The IR sensor which turns the light on and off is a great feature. It functions without my input and once set, it operates seamlessly without any thought or input. It uses touch controls and can easily be adjusted. It’s pretty much set and forget although it’s easily adjusted if needed. The light doesn’t interfere with your work and for designers, it doesn’t interfere with the color coming from your monitor.

Even better than the previous models
I also own the Halo version of this light that I use in my office, which is pretty fantastic, but this one is even better if you don't need the backlight from the Halo, and don't care about having the wireless remote control. Like the other BenQ ScreenBar lights, the light output is extremely well controlled and of fantastic optical quality if you care about things like color accuracy and brightness and not casting light onto your monitor illuminating any spec of dust that might be on it.This one is both brighter, as well as provides slightly improved color rendering even compared to the already fantastic ScreenBar Halo and other previous generation products. The motion detection feature is also a really nice addition, which partly makes up for not having the remote control puck since you only have to set it to what you want to use it at and then enable the motion detection mode and forget it. The implementation is even thoughtful enough that you can either walk away and let it turn itself off after 5 minutes, or tap the power icon to turn it off immediately, in which case it temporarily disables the motion detection for 30 seconds so you can step away from your computer before it re-enables the sensor again to turn back on automatically when you return. Little things like this don't seem like a big deal, but they just make using the product that much simpler and more pleasant than not having it, and over the long haul, that kind of little thing really adds up.This one makes it clear, like the previous models, why BenQ currently seems to lead the market with these monitor mounted desk lights. I wouldn't use anything else, and I'll never be without one again - it's just that much of an improvement over all the alternatives I've tried, from desk lamps and table lamps, to floor lamps, improved room lights, and competing monitor lights. BenQ monitor lights have their high ratings for a good reason.EDIT: I see one review mentioned the power button not being illuminated when the light is off. This is true, but to work around this to some extent, the power button is on the right side of the control panel in the middle of the light, and it's touch sensitive. This means you can just touch the right half of the light and slide your finger left towards the center and when you reach the power button, the light will turn on without you needing to know exactly where the button is. This may help other owners who have the same issue but otherwise like the quality of the light.

Best desk addition
Plug and play. Absolutely no complaints and worth every penny. Using gives no shadows for studying and is more functional than any desk lamp. Plugged into the wall so no worries about battery life and it fit all 3 of my monitors with no issue

Premium Quality, Sleek Design, and Smart Features
After trying out some cheaper alternatives, this product was an instant win for me. The build quality is top-notch, and I really appreciate not needing any extra devices cluttering up my desk (makes a bigger difference than you'd think). I also missed this when I bought it, but it comes with a presense sensor!!! This means it auto turns on and off for you.If I had to nitpick, I’d say the lowest brightness could be a bit dimmer. But overall, it’s absolutely worth the price.

Huge improvement over desk lamp (but with issues)
I love the automatic on/off and the auto dimming features. It illuminates my keyboard so that I can see what I am typing (I am not a touch typist) much better than the desk lamp that I have been using. Unfortunately it also glares somewhat on the screen no matter how I adjust it and if I adjust it as far out as it will go I can then see the LEDs. Considering this I think the price is a little high but was scared to go with one of the cheaper options. I have a BenQ monitor so wanted to go with the same brand again. Haven’t had it long so we shall see how it holds up over time.

Unexpected Game-Changer for Eye Strain and Desk Lighting
This is a product I didn’t know I needed until eye strain made it impossible to ignore. It keeps my desk clear while providing clean, even lighting across my workspace—without flooding everything in harsh glare. I chose the more expensive version specifically for the sensor trigger, and it’s worth it. Walking up to my setup and being greeted by a soft, welcoming light feels amazing. What I love most is that I can’t see any exposed bulbs or LED points—just smooth, glare-free illumination. It easily covers 36 inches of light with no hot spots. The build feels solid and secure, installation was super simple, and it connects directly to my PC’s USB-C port for clean cable routing. Total win.

Absolutely fantastic, a must have for your setup
When I first looked at this screen bar, I wasn't to sure about it. I was used to having a wireless remote for my previous model, which allowed me to manually turn it on and off. The idea of a sensor that activates when I approached the computer and shuts off when I left made me uneasy. I was concerned about having to reach up to the top of my monitor to control it or adjust the settings. However, I can say that this screen bar is fantastic. The sensor activates the moment I sit down, and it stays on for a few seconds after I leave, making it incredibly convenient. This feature has proven to be great, allowing me to enjoy seamless operation without needing to touch anything manually. Plus, it frees up space on my desk since there's no remote to clutter my workspace. In as for as value, it outperforms my previous model in both functionality and design. It fits snugly on my monitor, unlike some other bars that tend to sit awkwardly. The installation process was straightforward, and overall, I have no complaints. If you're considering a screen bar, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
