I bought a refurbished computer from E-Bay a few years back. It was a good deal because it came with keyboard, monitor, mouse AND internet stick. Since basically the first day I owned this computer, I've had terrible internet. I've had to pull out and reinsert the internet stick countless times after it slowed and stopped working. Online conference calls were a nightmare. Before I resorted to replacing the entire computer, I thought this was a good place to start.In short: it fixed everything. The internet sped up several times over. Videos pausing and glitching was a thing of the past. Now I know the that came with the computer created a bottleneck.If you need a wifi stick, I recommend this one. It is non-obtrusive and does what it advertises.

Great wifi adapter! Happy with the low cost! I get the same speeds as the laptop onboard wifi adapter when connected to my 5G network at home. Some people are saying this wifi adapter is not plug and play, and that you have to use the USB flash drive that came with it to get the drivers. That is not correct. It is plug and play if the computer you connect the wifi adapter to already has a working Internet connection at the time, whether it be wireless or wired. After I connected it to my Windows 11 computer that already had an Internet connection, I opened Device Manager. After waiting about 1 minute the new WiFi adapter automatically appeared and was ready to use. It download the driver automatically in the background without me doing anything. It uses a newer driver that is not bundled with Windows yet. I know some people are buying this because their existing wifi on their computer is not working at all, but if you can temporarily get an Internet connection by directly connecting a network cable or using a USB Ethernet adapter, then this wifi adapter will just start working on its own after you connect it and wait a minute or two. Otherwise, the USB flash drive that’s included can be used to install the driver. I avoided using the USB flash drive over security concerns since I’m in the IT field and security minded. This adapter uses the MediaTek MT7961U chipset. I’m using it in a lab environment connected to a VMWare ESXi 8.1 server and using USB passthrough to connect it to a Windows 11 VM. That setup is working great.

Works very well! Would highly reccomend! Problem solved and saved me from buying a new laptop! Just plugged it into usb on laptop and that was it.

Awesome easy fix for my laptop. This is the second device I have purchased. They dont last long.

It works great for my new laptop which has a poor builtin wifi network adapter. Speed increased from around 100 mbp to 300 mbp. Two things to set to make it work consistently:1. Go to the device manager and find the adapter, select the computer not to turn the adapter off when it goes to sleep. Otherwise, when the computer wakes up, the wifi adapter does not wake up automatically, at least this is the case for my laptop.2. Most laptop has a built-in wifi adapter. In order for it not to compete with the new adapter, go to the network advanced settings, and turn the auto meter off, and set the meter to 1 for the new adapter, and 2 for the old adapter. This way, the laptop will prioritize the new adapter and reliably connect to 5G. It takes several steps to navigate to the auto metering, the exact steps can be found online.

I am writing this as an edit for my review (see below). The product worked great the first time, but when I went to go back online a few days later, it couldn't find any available networks. I went round and round trying to get it to see any available networks. SANA was not quite as solicitous with these follow-up contacts. (Perhaps because I had given a rave review already...I don't know!) I finally got a response when I sent a text indicating that I would have to go and amend my first review, because customer service was great the first time, but completely lacking this time.I was told to unplug/replug the device; if that didn't work then reboot my computer (I had already done that), etc, etc,etc. It finally came down to their rep having to access my computer, go into some files and basically reinstall it. I asked the person to please tell me what they were doing as they were doing it, so I could fix it myself, if needed, at a future date--of course, that's not what happened!So it worked while they were present, but the next day it did not. I finally just unplugged it and uninstalled all its pieces and parts. It is now sitting in a box. I do not stay online when away from my computer for long periods of time, and when going back online, this product cannot find the networks without my having to jump thru too many hoops. My regret is I waited so long to unbox and try it out. It's been almost 8 months since purchase, and I'm certain I cannot return it!My network is running a lot faster now! I had trouble getting it all installed properly, and contacted them thru the chat feature on the website. As promised, I was contacted shortly after by SANA. What a wonderful customer service agent! We communicated thru text and were able to share photos of what we were working on. Sana is so patient and courteous, walking me thru step by step!
