I was looking for a makeup mirror with electrical cord, not rechargeable, in a brushed brass finish. This was one of the only options I found, which contributes to my 5-star rating. The 1X side and the variable lighting options are very good. The 10X side is a little challenging. You need to put your face almost all the way up against the mirror to use the 10X side, otherwise there is major distortion as others have noted. Once you find the sweet spot to use the 10X you can see the tiniest eyebrow hairs! I do think the mirror is a little pricey, even using a15% off limited time offer.

This one has a traditional plug that is coated in UL-listed plastic instead of the new types of plugs but that aren’t as good or as replaceable as USB or USC. Those rust out and corrode easily, making the light useless. The light is one of the most useful features of a makeup mirror so these new plugs make for tremendous waste in needing to be replaced every year or two whereas on old mirror with incandescent light lasted decades. If it used replaceable bulbs that would make it even better.I wish Amazon would consider environmental waste in its decision to offer a product and decide to not offer some products. I’m pro-capitalism but believe there are better and worse ways to make a profit (Less waste and better for the planet). Given the volume of business it conducts its practices could have a significant impact.

Conair does have nice quality. This is the 3rd mirror I have bought here, and I waited a while to make sure everything worked and stays working. There are different settings for the amount/type of light, and I find the lighting adequate. This is maybe a little pricier than some of the other brands on amazon, but not much. I think you get what you pay for. The other ones only worked for a couple of months, then the lights quit working, and/or the plug in quit working. I would definitely recommend this mirror.

It’s a very nice mirror. But the 10XMagnification side is too strong. I should have returned it.

Great mirror because it is 10x strength,has light and flips. Not tooo big or too small. Hard to find another with all these options in one. Simple and perfect.

Had a 10x mirror from TJMax which was good but my eyes are getting bad and I need light. It's large enough to see whole face. 10x mag is high quality. The lights are what sold it. Total of 6 functionality options with 2 switches of light; each one does exactly what you expect. I usually use bright light on both settings but office light and evening light is helpful too. I use it to remove unwanted hairs and apply eye makeup easily. I like that it doesn't need charging ever. You won't be disappointed. It's worth the price.

I needed to replace my old mirror BUT this one shows way too much than what a human could ever see on his/her own. It's to the point you may obsess over every spot, wrinkle, hair in an unhealthy manner. I'm keeping it but will use sparingly.
