Soft as Butter, Cool to Sleep on
I haven't had these sheets long enough to say how they'll hold up with launderings, but for those who enjoy beautiful soft, cool, well-fitting bed sheets, these would seem to fit the bill.Made of soft sateen cotton, they are thinner and (IMO) more comfortable than heavier Egyptian cotton sheets. Be aware, these are not percale weave cotton sheets, so they shouldn't wrinkle as easily after drying. That said, finding grandma's "real" percale sheets today is like looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack. If and when they can be found, prices are usually crazy high.I bought nothing but Laura Ashley sheets from the '70s through the '90s and they lasted forever. As my bed sizes changed, I gave away many sets that appeared brand new, but were often 25 years old. Then I followed the lemmings who began buying more expensive Egyptian cotton sheets with high, high thread counts, thinking the new must be better. Wrong, for me at least.I recently bought a new deep mattress/springs and although my Egyptian sheets fit, they now feel heavy, slick, and way too warm for my sleep needs. Thus, I found this set of LA sateen sheets here on Amazon at a much better price point than in department stores, so after reading reviews I decided to try them. They aren't the same as the LA sheets of earlier years, but most of mine had been percale, so I'll probably edit my review after a few washings. Also, for comparison, I ordered a set of Ashley percale sheets due to be delivered today. I'll definitely compare them in an extension of this review or in one written solely for the percales. The sateen print I ordered is lovely, not too country-chic at all, and fits my deep mattress like a glove. Hopefully, the percale set will live up to its old reputation.

So soft and pretty
These are wonderful sheets. They are very lightweight 100% cotton, no polyester or microfiber in the material. If you’re a hot sleeper cotton is the way to go. I have some beautiful Ralph Lauren sheets that are 100% cotton but much thicker and more abrasive. These are buttery and soft right out of the dryer, no ironing necessary. They are a beautiful muted pink print which I love, floral bedding is my preferred choice. I was surprised that there was lint in the dryer trap but not a lot, most 100% cotton does not shed. I hope they are durable and last many washing’s because I love them.

Pretty sheets but very thin cotton; and the fitted sheet will NOT stay on an 18" mattress.
These sheets are very pretty. However, they advertise deep sheets "up to 18" but 16 inches seems more likely to me. My fitted sheet keeps popping up on corners and if I want to keep using them, I'll have to find a set of "sheet belts", those elastic bands that hook onto sheet corners (like suspenders) and HOLD the sheet down. Another feature of these sheets -- they may be cotton but they are so THIN that the top sheet "behaves" like cheesecloth -- immediately bunches up and it's annoying to have to keep remaking the bed all night, if you want to use your top sheet, because it will scoot right off your legs. I've never had this happen before in a long life filled with many many MANY top sheets! But, the print IS pretty.........

Very nice soft sheets but peach not pink.
The sheets were light weight but smooth to the touch, not rough and loosely woven like a different cotton sheet set I had years ago. (Update 9/26/22) Although they are more soft and smooth, much more than the low thread count that I had gotten years ago they are not a sateen weave. I didn’t know the difference in weaves when I originally got these sheets. I have sense gotten a set of California Design Den Sateen weave 100% cotton sheets and they have a weave and sheen like sateen. These Laura Ashley sheets have a square weave to them. I don’t know enough to know if they would be a percale sheet but I’m looking for a physical example of a percale sheet so that I know. They are still a nice sheet but now I understand why so many people are returning them…they are advised as having a sateen weave and they do not.) I got them for me because I’m having trouble with night sweats now that I’m in menopause but because we were preparing for the exterminator I had to limit what could be in my home so I had my neighbor try them out. She loves them. They are much more breathable than the microfiber sheets that were all that is being sold around here. She says they are crisper do fold much more easily. Unfortunately they are much more of a peach and burgundy with sage green leaves and I was expecting a pink. I can’t make up my mind what I would be best with and I already have 3 sets of microfiber sheets and one that’s a cotton-polly blend that hasn’t completely fallen apart yet so I decided to gift them to her and I will wait to get sheets when I can figure out what I need. These are nice and soft enough that I might choose to get another set for myself later.

What a bargain!
I bought the Queen set, the material got softer with the first laundering, it's light weight so its perfect for Spring and Summer. I have a 17" drop mattress and the fitted sheet was a perfect fit. I'm looking to buy Laura Ashley sheet sets now.
