This saw blew my mind!
The saw that you see in nearly every bushcraft YouTubers arsenal, and for good reason. This saw was everything I expected and more.I hesitated for quite a while because of the price, but realized that replacement blades for this saw are only a few dollars from any hardware store, while my Bahco Laplander cost almost the price of the saw to replace the blade. So this saw would end up costing me less in the long run.The saw is long and skinny so it slides right into my pack without taking up hardly any space and not adding much weight. It sets up in a few seconds by unfolding and then snapping into place. The tension it puts on the blade is amazing and does not allow any flex or wobble which helps get a beautiful, clean cut very quickly. The blade it comes with is the all purpose one which is great for green woods but still does a really good job with dried, seasoned hardwood. The only word of advice would be to consider going with the saw and sheath combo package because while I am out just gathering firewood or building material for the camp, it is a bit tough to carry around. Since the blade is so crazy sharp I generally close it while walking, especially if carrying wood back to camp, and it doesn’t fit in any sort of pocket very well while walking. I am making a sheath now for it to help fix this. The speed and ease that this saw works through everything I have thrown at it blows my mind.If you’re considering this saw, but are hesitant because of the price, there are great budget saws like the Bahco Laplander that do work very well but those blades cost a lot more to replace. If you’re considering this saw, but are hesitant because you don’t know if it will live up to the hype or the YouTube videos and reviews, just buy it. You will not be disappointed!

Great design / pricey
Love this thing, even though it's kind of pricey. The next sixe smaller, probably would have cut any log I've wanted to cut.Boundary waters /Appalachian trail etc...Backpacking favorite for firewood and shelter support. It would also be great for making a blind without having to haul in bigger tool/ saws.It packs up very compact and straps to a bag well. It seems very durable. It locks up tight and cuts surprisingly well. I also keep an extra blade with me, but haven't had to change one yet. This was very well designed!

great little saw for clearing trails
I purchased this Boreal 21in folding bow saw to clear the trails I ride with my dirt bike and it is now my favorite tool out on the trail. at first I thought of getting a chain saw and mounting it on my bike like I have seen guys do on social media. while it may seem more epic and manly that seemed like overkill for 90% of the stuff I run into. also I didn't like the idea of having all that extra weight on the front of my bike and messing with the handling of the bike. the only other options I could think of were these smaller folding saws. I have a 10 in one and it works well on branches but anything over 6 in took forever to cut. There not as efficient because your wrist has to be at a 45 degree angle witch can lead to fatigue. So finally after some time researching I saw a guy on YouTube pull out one of these style of folding saws and then I knew this was what I was looking for, something that is light enough to take on any ride and has the ability to do some serious cutting! I ended up getting this one because of the amount of reviews this one had and I am glad I did! this thing feels solid and dose what I need it to do. it is the perfect size and fits on my pack nicely. overall it is a quality feeling tool and worth the money. would buy again in a heart beat.

Compact and effective saw
Pros: 1) The saw folds down in a creative space saving way that keeps blade hidden and items protected from getting cut; 2) The saw folds/unfolds in an easy manner and locks in place; 3) The saw cuts very wellCons: 1) The saw's weakest point is at the hinges where the saw blade is held. It seems very flimsy when folding and unfolding to the point that if you aren't careful you might break the blade of the saw at this point; 2) The saw blade bends more than it should when cutting. Maybe there is no saw with as long of a blade that doesn't flex when under stress. There is no way to adjust the tension.Bottom line: I would buy it again. It is a great saw. It is not lightweight, but worth hauling if you area on a multiple day backpacking trip where cutting wood for heat. I recently used it for this purpose and cut wood that was around 4-6 in diameter with it. There is no way I would have been able to cut what I cut with a small folding limb saw in the same amount of time and with the same amount of effort.
