I was introduced to Lavazza capsules nearly 10 years ago by an Italian who swore by the brand. A decade later, I now use these exclusively at home. This is simply because they are undoubtedly superior in flavor to all the other "big brands" operating in this market.I rarely drink as an espresso, preferring a cappuccino style preparation. If you get the balance right, for my money, the result is far better than anything you can get in the big coffee house chains at less than 1/10th of the price.In saying that, there are no generic versions available, so the price remains relatively high. It's worth shopping around and buying in bulk if possible.Please also note, that the Eco-caps label is a little bit mis-leading in my opinion. The capsules do not break down in standard home composters and need to be disposed of professionally with cooked food waste. If your local council provides this service, great, otherwise they will end up in the main rubbish bin.

This is my 'daily driver' when it comes to coffee. After drinking perhaps 500 or more cups of this coffee (Passionale) this year, I can say that it is consistently good, and tasty. Not too strong, but you know you've had a cup!
