This book provides good examples of how people can be different, and that being different isn't a bad thing. It helps children create a better understanding of diversity. The watercolor images are cute and engaging.

This is a wonderful book on encouraging diversity. It presents people not only with different skin colors or languages but also with their strengths and weaknesses. So, one child uses sign language, but also draws to express his wishes. Another child wears glasses and also has a big smile from ear to ear. In such small but ingenious ways, the author brings the various children and their families, their languages and traditions to life. It was a pleasure to read.

This book provides the perfect message that all kids need to hear. It really celebrates differences and teaches kids how to embrace them. There are even activities in the back of the book.
