The opening is the perfect height for my Corgi. If your Pit is taller they might have a harder time coming through the door but once inside they would be perfectly fine and comfortable.

A good choice for mans' best friend.

This is a well made, sturdy dog house. It took a while to assemble but the parts were clearly marked and the instructions were excellent. I moved it from my porch to the spot I wanted it and it was heavy but not too. I would estimate maybe 60 lbs. It looks great. My dog likes it. I'm happy :)

Nice dog house for the price.

I FINALLY GOT IT OUT OF THE BOX AND ASSEMBLED THIS CUTE HOUSE. The instructions says that it recommends two people to assemble...one person can manage. The only thing that was not clear in the instructions is that it did not indicate if the side wall lip should remain up or down...me building/fixing many things around my home was an obvious action to have the side walls' lip remain down because that lip will be holding the floor in place but others who are not familiar with building, will not know unless they read it in the instructions. Other than that, instructions very straight forward. Fur babies will enjoy their home.
