Very nice bike, very nice customer service
The bike looks great. Black and orange colors are very very cool, looks mean. 29" wheels are huge but very light weight. Took some time to figure out the disc brakes but once I figured out how it works, I was able to reseat (wasn't mounted correctly when arrived) and adjusted the power and now very assuring braking power. Seat hurt a lot so bought a new seat at Amazon. Bike is very fast at downhill. Worked nice on snow covered uphill but wished for one more low gear. Now I know why 27 speed is better than 24 speed. Even the frame is only 17" medium, it is big. I'm 6'. With 29" tires, even 17" frame feels like a very big bike. Very tall. Broke the chain after 4-5 uses on about 10 mile trail. Called the customer service (very very nice service by Sidney), short waiting, and new chain is on the way, covered by warranty. Can't wait to go out again because this bike is so good. Bought it from Amazon just before the price increased by about 10% so very happy. 2 months delivery at the time of order but was delivered in 3 week.

Nice bike
Nice bike but it's a little small for a tall person like me

Very good for the price.
Got this for myself and my wife. Both are very happy.Requires assembly. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, take it to a bike shop. For me, it was pretty simple to do myself.Gear shifting was precise out of the box - not sure if we got lucky or if it was tuned up before packaging, but the bottom line is I didn't have to take them to the bike shop for tune-up.

Overall, a good bike for someone 6'2 - 6'3
I have a hard time bike shopping. Being taller with really long legs makes finding a bike that is tall enough, with enough space from the handlebars to clear the knees, semi-challenging. This was a winner. One of the first things I would recommend is taking it to a bike shop after assembly for a "tune-up". It won't cost you much ($15-$20) and they can double check all the things you aren't an expert in adjusting. I feel like this saved me tons of potential future issues. Also fixed my chain slip issue by adjusting chain tension I assume.Overall this bike has been good for trail riding and riding around town. I added a rack to the back and carry baskets on either side for longer trail riding storage or shopping around town, works great. Also upgraded the pedals to these, I don't like my feet to slip off when it's wet/muddy: https://amzn.to/45zGnVuRack: https://amzn.to/3BXSDBABaskets: https://amzn.to/3BYduovHeadlight/horn: https://amzn.to/3IMRh0lWater bottle holder: https://amzn.to/3IP0iWH

Worst bike we have ever had
In the 5 months we have had this we have had the front bearings and hub explode, the rear gear shift somehow bent inward while riding when shifting. Local bike shop can't figure it out and the cost of constant repairs is now added up to the point I'm throwing it in a dumpster. All of this riding on paved residential roads. DONT buy this bike, it's a complete POS.Adding to this review as it hit the dumpster after 9 months. The rear gear shift fails all the time bending inward and basically wrapping the chain around itself. The chain permanently twisted around it. This bike is an epic waste of money. Do not buy it at any price, if someone offers you one pay them 20 dollars to go away and take it with them, it will vost you less in the long run.

Love it
Great bike light and great looking. Just getting into mtb. Damn good starter. If you’re a casual biker. All you will need. If you want to just ride and cruise I would suggest a new softer seat. This one seems to be a peddle peddle sit a bit seat. If you’re going to be sitting and peddling most of the time. Get a new 1. Besides that. A great bike

Bloodied body, replacement parts, and a brush with superhero mortality
I'm 51 and decided I wanted to try out mountain biking. I know, at my age perhaps I should be putting airplane models together or playing golf. My midlife crisis has taken a different direction.Anyhow, I thought this bike would be a good entry level bike for me to ride and find out if I liked the sport, and then upgrade from there.I had ridden a few times a week for about four months, mostly on easy to moderate trails. I was enjoying the sport, found some buddies to ride with, and had a good record of no falls or near death experiences. Until the freewheel decided to give out.I was riding with my friends on a moderate 12 mile trail with some decent climbs, a few rock gardens, and great scenery. With three miles to go, the freewheel completely locked up. As you know, a freewheel locks into position while you're pedaling, and then disconnects from the drive while you coast. Instead of disconnecting, it remained engaged and would push the chain forward and either onto a different gear or off the gears altogether. It was kind of a gear lottery every time I stopped pedaling.I was coming down a hill a little too fast. This was caused by my needing to continue to pedal or risk losing the lottery. I was applying the brakes and pedaling at the same time to keep the chain taut. As I got to the bottom of the hill there was a sharp turn. Because I was going faster than I should have I was in trouble. I stopped pedaling and hit the brakes. Unfortunately that pushed the chain forward and off the gears. I was doing okay until I needed some power to maneuver through the sand on the corner. As I pushed on the pedals the chain had completely come off and I rapidly lost control of the bike, supermanning over the handlebars and onto the gravel. I slid for a few feet and came to a stop. I had some nice gravel rash covering my hands, elbows, legs, and ribs. It hurt. It hurt real bad.I had about two miles to go still. I got on the bike and tried again to keep the pedals moving or risk further injury. Only now my hands kept sliding off the handlebars because of the blood steadily flowing over the grips.I made it to the end of the trail, earned some cred with my friends, and spent two weeks nursing my wounds. So thanks, Schwinn. I've since had to spend money on a tool to remove the freewheel (which was ultimately way more dificult than expected given how tight the original was on), a new freewheel and spacers to replace the lemon of a freewheel that came with the bike. I also spent plenty on bandages and neosporin. I contacted Schwinn to see if the limited warranty would cover a new freewheel. Because of COVID-19 they said it would be some time before they could get to my email. That was a couple weeks ago. I'm still waiting.I know you get what you pay for and this is certainly not a top of the line mountain bike. But a freewheel should last more than four months. It didn't. I've paid dearly. Apparently this bike is made for slow rides around the neighborhood with the kids. I threw some stars at it for that role, but took some off for my pain and suffering and the fraudulent representation of it being a mountain bike. I'll try it out with the upgraded freewheel for a few weeks and see if my luck runs out again. But at my age one more brush with superheroes and my own mortality and I may be done, one way or another.
