Truefitt and Hill 1805 Shaving Cream Bowl

This shaving cream has a lovely smell to it. Not too overpowering though. It lathers up very easily and you only need to use a tiny bit. I don't shave everyday (I work from home a lot). So a pot this size often lasts me 6 months. So although it may seem expensive, it goes a long way. Certainly cheaper and much nicer that the standard canned shaving foams/gel. I moved over to double edged razors just over a year ago. And, I definitely wouldn't go back. This shaving cream is definitely my favourite now. I also use Truefitt and Hill pre-shave oil. Which also smells lovely and works well to produce a smoother shave.

I’ve just purchased this a Christmas stocking filler for my son. Yes, it’s a little expensive, but you get what you pay for! I couldn’t resist opening the tub when it arrived! It’s beautifully packaged, smells absolutely divine and looks classy and expensive. I’m sure my son will love it. I know it will look good in his bathroom too. It’s very high quality and it looks it too. In my opinion a great gift for any man in your life who stills prefers a traditional wet shave. Treat him - he’ll love it!

Been using proraso for years and found the green tub was best for my face,I never really liked the fragrance much or the lather so looked elsewhere for a new soap/cream,Tried a couple that were not for me and one expensive very well known brands that dried my skin so bad it flaked and was very sore.I bought this shave cream and what a difference,It has a nice fragrance,lathers up lovely and has cleared my skin up and left it smooth and moisturized,I am very happy with this product and will be purchasing more of TrueFitt and Hill

I've tried several different shaving creams, but this is one I always return to. The lather is rich and creamy, and keeps my face well hydrated. With a base of pre-shave (Proraso), I get an excellent shave. The scent is subtle, and while secondary to the shave, my wife really likes this cream. The Trafalgar is another excellent cream with a slightly different scent.

The Parker shaving brush and this product plus Gillette proglide makes shaving a comfort instead of a chore, they say on the box it comes in they have been making this since 1805, well to be honest that may be a decent boast. The cream inside the black tub with the by appointment to the Duke of Edinburgh crest on the lid looks like whipped cream with a silky texture, the odour is faint but pleasant, when applied to the face it goes on easily and stays there, the razor slides along without hindrance and picks up the stubble, a second application allows you shave upwards against the grain with the same effect, when washed off in the shower it leaves your skin feeling like new without that tight sensation I've had with other creams and lathers. My wife has pronounced my face is now smooth as a baby's bottom at £17 a tub it's priceless.

Lathers very well and has a nice scent that lasts for a few hours afterwards. The whole tub should last ages as you don't need to use that much. The only other shaving cream I've tried is the Sandalwood by Art of Shaving and it's difficult to pick the best one, this one is slightly cheaper but to me, just as good -it's quality stuff.

Have been using this for several years. This is the the best product by Truffit and Hill. The scent lasts after shaving.

The best I've had and the other reviews cover everything that is good about it. Good for sensitive skin(like mine) and a no post shave burn, super smooth shave.
