Bought this product to replace one I'd had for years when the keys started to stick. It worked perfectly for 4 months then suddenly stopped working altogether. The buyer would not replace or refund my money. Very dissatisfied, very poor customer service. Be warned don't buy this product.

Bought this to replace the Seiko Oxford crossword solver I’ve had for a while, which has just packed up. This Franklin is quite different to operate in comparison but I should get used to it. The Seiko is apparently no longer available - other than used ones - which could be no better than the one I had before, which just broke. It was quite a wait for this because I think it has come from the USA. Seems expensive for what it is though. ******having had this machine for a few weeks now, I am a quite disappointed with it - it doesn’t find the simplest words when I am using the crossword mode. It just flashes up,” sorry can’t help”! Today I punched in u?e?e??? And it didn’t find UNEVENLY! It has failed several times previously to find very common words. My last machine never failed me. This is dated 17th Feb 2024.

The buttons are too small for my fingers. Whereas my old Collins Lexibook (which I think may be cheaper) gives you - through the 'index' button a chance to look at words alphabetically around the sought after word this new one gives you nothing other than the word put in and maybe what it feels are a spelling alternative. The old one also gave details of notable people. I had thrown the old one away when I got, this but quickly recovered it and basically only use the old one still.

This item is great value for the money and is an excellent solver of crosswords etc.

Product easy to understand good r many uses

Hoped that this would help me with my crossword but the buttons are so small that I was pressing 2 or 3 at once! and the screen is tine too, making reading it a chore (I needed a magnifying glass!!!)Sure it would be great for someone with delicate fingers, more delicate than mine anyway, but of no use to me.I also would not have bought this had I known that it was being shipped to the UK from Las Vegas! I feel that Amazon ought to have informed me of this. It took over a month to be delivered and now I suppose I will be waiting for the same amount of time for my refund, if not longer!This is not the sort of service that I am used to from Amazon. I hope this is not a harbinger of more problems......

Its no more than a toy for very little fingers. Keyboard so very small. Ordered from Amazon UK. It arrives from Amazon USA. To return it I have to send it back to the US following very inadequate instructions. It has to be sent using DPD with no instructions of how to contact the carrier. It seems I am stuck with it.
