Fortunately, someone had taken the trouble to provide a very useful review of this product. This tipped the balance in favour of buying the product. I have not been disappointed! The support is made from quality materials and is not only comfortable but provides that all important support for the lower back.In truth my current leather chair is a little like its owner. It is knackered! At least with the chair I can buy a new one but in the meantime this back rest is brilliant. As and when I get a new chair the back rest can be transferred to the new chair.This back rest may seem expensive compared to others on the market but at least it is cheaper than a visit to the osteopath and it should last a long time.

My pillow is thicker, firmer, and provides more support than this product. I suffer from lumbar pain as a result of 2 herniated discs, and was therefore looking for a product that protrudes out of the bottom of the seat to ensure my back was always either straight or hyper extended, so that it couldn't flex at any point. This product doesn't help with any of those things, nor is it comfortable.

Really helped my back. One complaint is that the lower straps tend to slip up the chair but nothing that can't be quickly corrected (maybe I haven't adjusted the strap correctly ) would definitely recommend.

I have a neck / shouder injury and really bad posture (not as a result of the injury - I'm just a 'slouchy' person) so need something that encourages me to 'sit up straight' in my seat. This really helps and can be adjusted to fit most seats I would imagine due to the straps; my chair has a higher back than the one used in the illustration and it works just fine on that. I occasionally have to re-adjust it as it can move a little but I think that's down to me moving around in my chair and therefore 'sliding' it around. Definitely worth a buy.

Negative: This product contains Zinc Pyrithione .... had I known this I would not have ordered it. There was a strong chemical smell to the product (and to the air in my study, due to it !) - whether this was from the Zinc Pyrithione or another chemical/material, used in the product, I do not know.Positive: The shape, adaptability and comfort of the back support seem great - I liked that one can adjust the position of the lumbar support and also whether to use the other sections of padding (great idea having removeable sections). Fellowes....please make one free of such chemicals....

It will take a bit of fitting on higher-back chairs, but it's well worth the effort. I've tried several different supports, and this one is way and above all others. Yes, it's very firm, but has done wonders for my shoulder and neck pain, and in helping me to keep a good posture. Great value, and definitely worth a try.

Received the item the next morning after ordering and it has revolutionised my working day! It is easy to fit over a chair back and the difference it has made to my sore neck is amazing. It really supports the lower back and spine and results in a much better sitting position. I could not recommend this product highly enough.

It feels well made and confortable, but in my chair, that has already an ergonomic design, the top padding just don't feel right. I even had to remove it because it caused me backpain! The chair in the picture doesn't seem to have an ergonomic curve so maybe in those chairs it works better...
