Perfect smart compressor air drain!
Installed at the end of an extended drain hose. It definitely is directional. At 30psi, it didn't seem to matter but at 150psi it blew like a bad harmonica. Flipped it around and it's perfect. It will even close the drain at 150 psi! I wasn't expecting that honestly. There's a definite tiny 1-2 second delay using the 12v model but that's just fine. I mounted 2 receptacles each controlled by a smart switch. Plugged the compressor into one and a 12v 2a transformer tied to the solenoid into the other. Now I can turn on my compressor, use it, turn it off and drain it using my voice and not crawling into the back corner of the garage and reaching under the compressor. Love it! If I decide to leave my compressor on for a while, I can use the solenoid as a condensation drain. It doesn't drain super fast, about the same speed as the old petcock drain, maybe a little slower. I drilled a small hole through the exterior wall and vent it outside because the drain was louder than my ultra quiet compressor. Not anymore! I absolutely love it. I did program the switches as receptacles so they would not be included in blanket statements like "turn off all lights."

120 lbs no leaks love it!
Mine worked beautifully at 120 lbs I love it! I used a 12cold 1amp wall wart power supply that actually measured 14volts with a meter. I used Grey Teflon tape and wrapped it so when tightening; the tape was wound in opposite direction of tightening so that tightening helped tape stay tight to threads. Used the brass 8mm quite connect fittings for the blue plastic tubing and everything is really tight. Hopefully im not over electrifying the coil with extra volts and amps. I am using this in conjunction with a mist coolant setup for a cnc machine and it will sure take a beating so I might update if I buy another one for my next project. If it lasts a year I will definitely get another.

Works great
I used this for a air horn application working well.Wired in with factory horn button no noticable delay.

Great price, with certain compromises... Flow direction shown in attached image.
As other reviews have noted, it's a directional valve, but the direction isn't marked, and it's not 1/4" NPT. I was able to install a couple of quick connect couplers with teflon tape, and plugged it into my compressor to figure out which end is which. The attached image shows the correct flow direction, which goes from the side of the valve with mounting holes to the side that does not. I haven't decided whether I'm going to try to open the threads into a proper taper for better NPT fit... My application is an air pressure bleed valve for an airbag system in a towing rig, it should be fine for that. I'll update this if it isn't, I wanted to post the flow direction for folks.

It is one way flow
Works perfectly fine connected to a float in swamp cooler, float goes down and sends power to the solenoid water fills up and shuts back off just like it’s supposed to….and directions and installation, well it’s not hard if you know what your doing, but for the Unenlightened it’s a 50/50 shot of right or wrong so put on a quick disconnect fitting on both sides and if it’s backwards then 5 seconds and it is switched and correct ;)

It works, great price, however...
Works fine, however, i gave a low rating because I purchased for air horns and it physically cannot flow much air through the orifice. It works, but not for what I consider basic needs, hope this helps.

Bought it for my air horn setup im putting together
I was worried about it looking like it wasnt gonna flow enough for my air horn but ill be damned it worked great seriously havent had one issue with it malfunctioning works perfect!

Fine for low flow applications, otherwise avoid it!
This valve is junk. The aperture the solenoid controls is so small, it destroys your CFM. Pressure was fine but very little flow.
