My daughter loves music and loves to sing. This book is so cute and a very simple and easy concept for babies, toddlers and kids to use. Love that the button both turns it on and off. Nursery Rhymes is cute the songs are very appropriate, baa baa black sheep, old mcdonald, row row row the boat, hickory dickory dock, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle little star. We bought this originally for the Itsy Bitsy Spider, but she loves all the songs equally.I have owned their original version, and now have the updated version, which is more colorful, I love the illustrations in both, but the newer version is a little cuter. The lyrics sound clearer in the newer version, the older version seemed to be more of an Australian Accent. It still has an accent but in now clearer. I love it! I love that the songs are sung by children.When my first version stopped working the customer service for Ditty Bird was very fast and immediately sent me a new book.Thank you Ditty Bird for a great product.

I bought this for my 3.5yo so that she has a bedtime activity. It takes her awhile to fall asleep and she needs something to keep her entertained until she does. The combination of turning the pages, looking at the pictures, and listening to the songs is a win. I like that the songs are sung (not just music, actual words are sung). However I'm disappointed that the songs are so short. It's just one verse of each song, so they feel like they stop short too quickly. And like all musical books the sound is WAY WAY WAY too loud. We put heavy tape on the back of the book to try to make it quieter. But it doesn't help much. I wish all musical toys/books had volume settings.

This was a hit either way out two year old! I wish they didn’t purposely baby talk in the songs though…

We bought these books (farm animals and nursery rhymes) for our little one who is 9-month old. He loves them, and is very intrigued by the music/sounds, which is great.The books are really great:- The pages are easy to turn for little hands, and the child can quickly remember where to put his finger to play the music / sound- The book itself is strongly made, and will resist being chewed / spat on- Nice vibrant colors, and the characters/design are very cute- Great to have variety between sounds and also music (our daughter who is 3 was happy to sing along to the nursery rhymes)We will definitely order some more to explore new sounds/music, but we are very happy with these books. Great for your kids, and it creates a great bonding time guiding them through the pages.

Got this as a gift for my nephew who loves birds and loves music, and, unfortunately, they took it out of the plastic wrap and discovered it didn't work but too late for me to return it to Amazon. None of the songs on any of the pages work. They replaced the batteries with brand new ones and it still didn't work. I was initially disappointed because I think my nephew would have loved this book and what we got was basically a regular board book but for 4 times the cost of a normal non/musical board book. So, I posted a negative review. Since it was too late to return the book through Amazon, I contacted the seller, who got back to me right away and was so nice. She not only replaced the broken book but also gave me a second Ditty Bird book of my choice for free. This time I decided to open them and check them before giving them to my nephew and I'm happy to say they do work. And they are so cute! I really think he's going to enjoy them. I got the farm animal sounds book because he loves animals and the nursery rhymes book because he loves music and singing. There are a few different Ditty Bird books in the line- there's something for every youngster. They kind of work like those greeting cards you can get that play a song every time you open the card, except there's a small "button" on every page that you press to hear the song or animal noise. It's a clever idea for baby books and the illustrations are adorable! I don't feel disappointed anymore!

This product is great, if it works. But do not purchase from Minnesota Goodwill. To the resale company: Unacceptable for you to ship an item that isn't working like new. Songs don't play all the way with new batteries. Recommend being up front about the quality of the product.
