These are so much fun
These are nice pencils. The tips are not breaking when I sharpen them either. Every color imaginable is in this set. Feel like a little kid excited about trying out every color in a drawing. There is smooth application. Not a bad price for 72 pencils.

Good value for a nice pencil
This has a great variety of colors, probably more than I need. I also think the quality is good. They are smooth and feel pleasantly soft. Hold a point well. A few colors break when coloring or when trying to sharpen too much. They are so much less expensive than many others that I feel they are a great value, especially if you get them on sale.

Very creamy and soft
I love drawing and coloring and am an admitted art supply hoarder, if I see a new art product come out and the price is reasonable I purchase it. After seeing these I decided I would give them a try.The pencils are stored in a nice metal tin and have 3 layers total of pencils. The sorting of these are a bit strange, not like other pencils which go by hue, so I did resort them according to hue. The barrels are round and have a nice black coating and on the end of each pencil is a color indicator, the ends of the pencils are rounded so you are unable to tell if the leads are straight or not. The cores are fairly thick but not as think as the more popular Prisma's are. Leads are pre-sharpened and these sharpen easily with a quality sharpener. The color on the pencil is not nearly close to the color of the actual lead, some are, but most are either darker or lighter, I suggest you do make a swatch sheet. Because these have no number or color indicated on them I did number them myself after sorting and marked them with a permanent marker. The leads are very soft and creamy as others indicated, they do lay down color quite well and are vibrant. The only colors which are not are a few of the yellows. There's also a very nice array of colors in each spectrum. This set is very similar set also found on Amazon in terms of lay down, color and storage but it does have the exact same hues or colors the Colore' set does not so they compliment each other really well. These blend really well together and with other pencils that are decent wax based pencils on both smooth paper and paper that has a bit of tooth to it. You will find on paper with tooth there will be white gaps, this is normal in general and if you layer additional colors on top or blend with an alcohol blender or odorless mineral spirits you easily fill in the gaps. The biggest issue, other than lack of color number or name, with these pencils is that they do have significant blooming, the colors look shiny, after you add a few layers or blend them with an alcohol blender, this is par on course for many soft wax based pencils. These pencils are great for general coloring and budding pencil artists. It doesn't appear they were tested for lightfastness so it is difficult to determine how they will hold up over time, it takes about 6 months for an actual test. For the price these are a really nice starter set for budding artists or for individuals who enjoy coloring.

Smooth pencils, nice colors.
Hi there! I was looking for the best choice to do the neuro graphics, have tried other brands. These once work for my needs the best now. There are three trays in the box, and the trays have little handles, easy to use. Color palette has many pretty shades. Like it, good product.

These pencils are amazing! I can't believe how incredibly inexpensive they are
These pencils are amazing! I can't believe how incredibly inexpensive they are. I ordered another set for twice the price and they dont compare to these. The tin was bent and smashed a little but luckily the pencils were in perfect condition in the plastic trays. They were also fully wrapped in a plastic seal so at least I know they were brand new. The appearance of the packaging other than the dents was great. I love there logo and all the black. The pencils themselves are gorgeous, now a round barrel not the hexagon crap, which is usually a deal breaker for me. There aren't any names or numbers so you have to go by the striping on the bottom of the pencils which I like, I don't know why everyone hates that. I don't want to pick up every pencil to read the side of it to find my color. No thanks. They are super light, soft finish and I seem to have no issues with sharpening so far. Good quality wood I think. The lead is also of good quality. I believe these are wax based colored pencils. Basing that conclusion only on my experience with the pencils and the many sets I already own. I have put them in the same case with my Prisma premiers, if that gives you any kind of hint ;) and I'll tell why! They are so easy to blend with, on par with Prismas. They blend with each other and they blend just as well, possibly better with others. Idk if that is possible, makes sense, or I'm crazy ha. The colors are so bold. They are all on the darker side tho. That's part of why I gave only 4 stars. I do alot of landscape and realtic drawing, portraits, etc. Unfortunately these are not pale enough for portraits unless you use a lot of white which I'm trying to minimize in my drawings, cuz I've had to use a lot trying so many different sets of colored pencils... No one seems to be able to compete with Prismas or polys color pallet. But aside from that downfall, these are absolutely amazing for everything else! Lots lots of greens and blues. Too many yellows and oranges I'd say, and much too close in shade. Barely any pinks but tons of pretty purple. They all blend so freaking awesome! I can't get over it. Ha ok move on, as for solvents I've found coconut oil and alcohol has worked the best for me, with my paper types and techniques. Don't even hesitate people!!! There 10 bucks!! I'm going to purchase a second set before the price jumps up!! Do it!!!
