Easy to install, quiet and works great
Install took 20 minutes. I had to remove the lower cover to get it to fit inside which was just one screw. Clean the inside really well, otherwise the fan will blow that all around. Tabs lined up perfect. I used a flathead screwdriver to lift them up, then my finger to bend them further into place. The wires to plug into the fan can be plugged into either terminal, doesn’t matter. Magnetic sensor stick to the bottom of the firebox. It took about 10-15 minutes for the fire box to heat up for the fan to turn on. Same time for it to cool down. It moves quite a bit of air and helps to spread the heat really well. It’s not that loud, even on max setting. Super inexpensive, easily worth the money.

Super solid product that fits perfectly
I bought this blower for my Superior 2000 series fireplace to prevent it from damaging its marble surround and the TV we mounted on top of it.I came across this model because the owners manual of my fireplace mentioned it. Very solid construction, smooth bearing, and bigger than I expected (which means more powerful!). Installation is super easy, it's a perfect fit, the secure tabs inside the fireplace aligned with the notches on this blower perfectly. After turning in on, I was super impressed. It did a wonderful job! Previously the stone on top would get super hot, as well as the bottom of the TV. With the blower on, the stone only got warm to the touch, never hot. And of course, it now heats up the room a lot more efficiently. The fan noise became noticeable when turned to over 50%, but not loud at all. Thanks for making this product. Totally changed how usable my fireplace is.

Does it’s job and helps efficiency
This is a product that should come with every home gas fireplace. Such a simple but elegant design. The fan has a little noise at 75% but it’s bearable, especially for how much heat it moves around. Dont forget that it saves your mantle too, I’m losing no heat upwards anymore. So happy I got this.Plug and play with little skills.

I consider this a requirement for our gas fireplace
Without this fan, there is little heat output from our Astria fireplace. Adding the blower made a big difference. We can sit in front of the fireplace and feel the heat. Installation is not hard, but the instructions are really bad. The drawing of the placement is poor. The blower is installed through the space on the right side and located against the back wall. Our fireplace was wired with a duplex outlet to power the remote control, so power was not an issue. The sensor magnetically attached to the center bottom of the firebox. Our fireplace is not 100% compatible, but close enough. The blower is suppose to go in the back center of the fireplace, but there was a long screw there, and the fireplace was not built square. I had to use some scrap ceramic tile to raise the blower up past the screw and tilt it back some so the mounting Velcro on the back of the blower would stick the the back wall of the fireplace. This is a problem with this fireplace, not the blower. The blower is great. I am considering adding another for dual blowers. I like the variable speed control. Full-speed is too noisy, but running at about 80% is great air flow and acceptable noise level.

A very worthwhile investment
The original owner did not have a blower installed when the house was built. We've owned it for two years and I recently installed one. Installation was a snap and it works like a charm. Once the fire place heats up the thermostat starts the blower and the hot air comes into the living room rather than all going up the chimney. Blower automatically shuts off once the fire place is shut off and cools down. I have the rheostat set at about 3/4 speed and the noise level is very low. Since it's brand new, I cannot rate the durability, although I can say that it appears to be very well built.

Great product
Works as advertised. Product is very quiet and works great. This is my second one that I ordered. Easy to install.

Marginal increase in warmth distribution in my case.....
"Easy installation" usually depends on where it's installed. It is quiet but the output CFM is just marginal....you can feel the air blowing but there isn't much 'umph' behind it.

FBK-250 Fireplace Blower Kit
Before purchasing for self installation make sure that there is an electrical outlet (plug) in the space below the firebox. If there is, use a lamp to test whether it is connected or not (only one outlet will have power). I chose this particular version of the FBK-250 (fireplace is a Lennox LMDV-4035-CNM) because of the rheostat (speed control) and the temperature sensor. On all the other models that I saw the speed control was either a wall mount kit (light dimmer switch style) or a small plastic box designed to be mounted in the space under the fireplace. This model has the much easier to install (no work at all) magnetic temp sensor and the speed control box is metal not plastic (also designed to be mounted in the space below the fireplace). The instructions are written for a contractor so they can seem a bit vague, but if you read the instructions and look at the place where you will be installing the blower it will all make sense. The install was very easy. The only "issue" was mounting the speed control box. The instructions show several fireplace models, but none matched mine exactly. The instructions indicated that there were pre-drilled holes that were to be used for securing the box. My fireplace does not have them and I had no desire to drill into the bottom of the firebox. I used velcro to mount the box upside-down on the floor of the space below the firebox. The fan works well. It doesn't push a great deal of air, but it does warm up a room in a hurry. The unit comes on a few minutes after the fireplace starts and runs for a few minutes after the fireplace is turned off. I hope this helps with your decision.
