Immediate sun relief
This is a must have if you suffer from sun allergies, pmle, or just burn easily. The material is soft and silky and shiny. I have had this for years and it has never faded. I take it with me to beach trips and long road trips. In Kauai we had none of our gear except our beach towels for beach day. I had this scarf. I draped it over my coolibar hat and created a sort of tent over me and instantly felt relief. It felt 20 degrees cooler and my body cooled down immediately. I lent it to my husband while I went in the water. He gave it back but asked to borrow it again after feeling the difference. On our next beach trip I wanted to be in the sun because it was too cold in the shade but not burnt. I did the same thing and sat on the beach mat, draped this over my hat and held it around my legs. It was instant relief from the uv rays but I was slightly cold from the ocean breezes where I was covered. I also used it as a sort of sarong. Later at night, I used it as a scarf to stay warmer, then as a blanket over my legs on the way home. I now also have lilac and soft pink which my daughters tend to borrow.

Very versatile.
The product is great. It has many uses. It is great for sun protection and a very nice shawl when needed. Perfect for plane flights as well.

Great.Scarf/Shawl against the sun
This scarf/shawl is really practical — sun protecting while it is soft and silky and NOT adding to your heat temperature. I was amazed and bought two. So sometimes draping clothing on you in the sun seems like a suffocating too hot idea but this scarf is the opposite and cools. You can wear it many ways to protect your head, face, shoulders, arms.. They travel well and don’t look bad even when you fold them up in a small square. So, yes, you can chuck it in your tote and drape it around yourself when you need it. It’s a hand wash item but they wash well with a little soap and rinse and I hang mine up to dry. This is really practical in all respects.

My go-to item in my suitcase
I love this SPF shield! It's stylish, soft, easy to clean, and provides a lot of coverage (it's quite large). It's a little on the heavy side due to the size of the item, but not a big inconvenience. I use this as a warming shawl on the plane for a little extra coverage, then hop off in Florida and use it to cover my chest and shoulders from the sun. It's also great to wrap gently over your head to get extra coverage from the sun. It's nice-looking enough to use as a pashmina to a formal event like a beach wedding where you want to shield yourself from the sun but remain stylish. This is so great and I would love to buy more for family and friends.

Nicest type of throw-on scarf and great quality fabric
Love the feel, love the casual look, love the spf sun protection. I liked the black one I got better for color though.

Beautiful and elegant
Beautiful bright pink, soft and nearly silky, dries quickly and is light and breathable. I got it on sale, but if I didn’t, I’d still want it! Debating about buying another.

Still testing
Somehow the design was not quite what I had hoped it would be. It looked retro but the most important thing to me is the protection so I guess it does not matter . Still have to try in 13 uv . Will update

Slinky, very bright white
Seems great; a bit thicker than anticipated, but willing to believe other reviewers who've used it in the heat and found it cooling. The only surprise is how long it is! I couldn't ever wear it as a scarf (doubled would be way too thick around neck; single layer comes nearly to my knees)! But excited to have flexible coverage for cool plane, hot sunny days. Can cover my whole upper torso and then some if I want to!
