This is the second one of these gates that I've purchased. I use them to keep my dogs out of the living room (and off the couches) while we're out, and the most recent one was bought for the front steps on our porch so the dogs can come out and sit with my on the front porch in the mornings without fear of them running off after a squirrel. They are SUPER easy to install!! I love that the come with sticky pads on the install hardware so you literally just have to line it up where you want, and then screw it in. They are super well built and sturdy once you lock the gate. If you do not lock it, the fabric can be pushed to a point that a child or animal can push underneath, but once it's locked, that's no longer an issue. I also love that when it's not in use, it's barely noticeable and just rolls into itself. I no longer have to find a place to store a gate, like the old plastic gates I used to have. I definitely recommend these gates. I also love that the come in different colors. The grey matches my home decor perfectly.

This was easy to install and has been working great since I put it up over two weeks ago. I'm using it to keep a Labrador and a Corgi on my deck after it rains. This way they get to be outside to enjoy the fresh air, but not in the yard getting muddy. The one thing I will mention, as other reviewers also said, is the screws that are included are no good. I stripped out six of them, even when the holes were pre-drilled. You won't regret buying this gate, but save yourself the hassle and don't use the screws that are included.

It works in a very awkward space where a swinging gate would not. The bottom of our staircase does not have a railing or wall on one side with the result that the final stair cannot be blocked off. With this type of gate (rolls horizontally like a window shade) we were able to at least block the second to last step where the wall starts. The material is strong and our very determined toddler is not able to bypass it.

I gave it 4 stars because the gate itself was really nice but I didn't have the type of wall needed to install it so I had to return it.

Just installed so I can’t speak to longevity. But it was easy to install, for the use of keeping my pup from wandering off. If she wanted to she could probably tear it apart, but so far it’s been a deterrent and serving its purpose. It is functional and easy to use. I may take it in and store it during winter months.

Love it! We have a big entryway to the dining room and this gate was perfect! Keeps the baby and our pet out of the room and we have no problem opening and closing it!

Great quality. Although I tell him not to constantly, my son loves to lean and hang on the gate, but it holds up fine. I love the lock on it so he can't pull it out with it's rolled up, or unhook it when it's extended. This has been used for dogs and kids and it holds up great. I love the long reach and the install was simple.

Like the review says, works but installation was terrible. They provide double side tape to hold the brackets after you positioned them to make easier (no measuring), but the tape isn’t strong enough and the bracket just falls off. Thr first gate I got lucky and managed to get the measurements correct, but I have a second gate where I am struggling to get it measured correctly. If the tape held the brackets even for 2 min so I could mark holes, that walked be enough.
