These swivel snaps do more than just hold gear together. They are, as the name inplies, 360 degree swivel that include a free spinning barrel swivel that eliminates twisting of my line when a fish is hooked, or around my lure during retrieval. The easy to manipulate crosslock snaps saves you from needlessly having to waste time cutting or untying hooks, lures or other large end fasteners when you need to swap out equipment. I have found these swivel snaps to be extraordinarily strong, surpassing their rated weight limit, and once a lure or weight is attached to the crosslock mechanism, it won't come off until you decide to remove it!!! Made from stainless steel, I expect these units to last for many years with a bare minimum of care or maintenance. Once you use them, it's always a good idea to wash them in clean fresh water to remove any surface dirt, or in the case of saltwater angling, removing the thin layer of sea salt to help protect the metal.
