Q: Can this bag be used with single use catheters just for overnight use? I only need a catheter for overnight, not 24/7.

My father used the bag overnight. I liked it because the valve made it easy for him to drain when it was full or close to full.

Q: How big does the elastic stretch? I'm a big woman with huge thighs.

These will stretch but when the twist they cut circulation and can be painful. I bought "Healifty 4Pcs Fabric Leg Bag Strap Urine Drainage Support Strap Fabric Catheter Sleeves Holder Urinary Catheter Holder" that are wider and are long with more stretch, but these also can twist too. I'm looking for a belt with a pouch that can carry the catheter bag because I know that would be more comfortable.

Q: So i see where some say the bag can be used 6 times? what indicates the “times”...each time you empty it? and then i read “single use”. i’m confused.

These will last a week or more. I wear them until the valve becomes difficult to move. I write the date on the bag with a magic marker.

Q: What standards do you use to insure sterility?

I rinse the bags out after every use. First with distilled water and then with isopropyl alcohol. Seems to do the job. I reuse bags maybe 6 times before breaking out a new one.
