Sturdy wood back scratcher. Works as expected.

It's summer, and that means (among many other things) itches. Whether it's the spider web you walked through giving you the heebie-jeebies, or the mild sunburn that's making your shoulders crawl, inevitably that itch will be out of prime scratching reach. These scratchers are good for scratching; for reaching things just out of reach (cat toys under the couch); and/or for ineffectively swatting at a moth - these are great to have at hand, and this order will give you 6 of those hands.They're pretty nicely formed and smoothed, sturdy, and quite affordable. Being wood, there can be the odd unfinished bump, or the hand's "nails" are too sharp or not sharp enough. Pretend yourself to be a master craftsman, and judiciously use a nail file on it until it's your own, familiar tool. Then post one in each bedroom, hang one in your bathroom, plop one on the back of the couch - you'll be so glad it's there when that unreachable itch comes around.

I wish they were a bit wider, making them a bit more substantive. I use them as grabbers/reachers---without that spring action that always breaks. I'm old---they help me pull my slippers over to me, close my upper bedroom window, pull a can from an upper shelf---you get the picture---they give me longer arms. I'm very glad I got this six pack---I can always find one when I need it.

The back scratchers are great, they work well, they are strong and sturdy. They make GREAT gifts as I was once a recipient of one and decided I need one for the auto and a few in other rooms. However I find the scratcher part is kinda rough and it needs a little sanding, otherwise if you go to scratch your back over your clothing it’s going to snag your clothes. Luckily, I had an old shirt on it. Didn’t make any difference if it snagged it or not but if I had a nice piece of clothing on, I think I would’ve been a little upset if it pulled and ruined my shirt, so what I did was take a rough finger nail file or you can use some fine grade sandpaper and sanded the edges just a bit, not much, to make it smooth so it doesn’t hurt your skin or your clothing. But if you’re interested in purchasing these back scratches, do not let this deter you because it’s an easy fix no need to return. You can’t beat the price for the quantity and I’m sure I’ll be ordering a lot more in the future because like I said they do make a great gift …. oh and one more thing, they are plenty long enough. They come packaged well and we’re delivered when promised. Thank you
