It does not come with heat protection. It's best to not to have this product delivered during hot months in your location.

How many chocolates do you get in total?

Each box contains 22 pieces. Not the cheapest indulgence, but the best in the world (to me, at least). I'll give up a lot of other things to allow myself these purchases.

Why have I not received what was promised for which I gave a good review which I am on the verge of changing to a negative review ?

Only provide a review AFTER you received the product you ordered.

Is anything done to make sure these chocolates don't melt in transit?

Not to my knowledge, but they have always arrived in good condition.
