Buying a treadmill has to be supplemented with a UPS
I have been using this machine for a couple of months now. The machine works ok though I won't advise it for heavy running. Walking performance is fine. But I wanted to address another fundamental issue here regarding treadmills. Anybody who is interested in using treadmills as an exercise equipment and especially people who are a bit elderly and also people with knee issues please take note that the treadmill purchase is not complete without an UPS to provide continuity in the functioning of the treadmill. Otherwise whenever there is power outage which will definitely come to bear once in a while, the treadmill will abruptly stop and this will lead to real damage to the body and the knees in particular. So budget for the UPS also if you are going to buy a treadmill and if you intend to use it seriously. Otherwise there won't be any peace of mind while using the treadmill. Take it from me. I weigh 83 kilos and only walk at 5 km per hour. Lifelong machine is up to the task for that. The UPS will need to be an online one so that the treadmill won't feel the power outage at all. I bought a 2 KV APC UPS and that’s adequate. Gives me time to power down the machine in case of a power outage. The cost is 45K though. But its better than to twist the knee and then get into other medical complications.Updating the review after one year of usage. Buy this treadmill only if you are below 70 years of weight. Never use it for running. It just cannot take the stress. Also never use the machine for more than 30 minutes at a time. The DC motor gets heated and will freeze hurting your knees by suddenly coming to a stop. Even the presence of an online UPS will not protect you if the machine freezes by itself during walking. Other manufacturers mention this but lifelong doesn't. The machine frame is weak. My learnings have been that treadmill for stable use has to be somewhere around 55 to 60 kg of weight for a sturdier frame and longer lasting. Also go for AC machines to take care of the heating problem. There is weakness in servicing obligations from lifelong in the southern states atleast. They have tieups which are not stable. Overall its been a dumb buy considering my weight of around 88 kilos. The machine is cheap so is its performance over a period of time.

Best for normal use
Surface area is to small. Not suitable for running and speed walking. 5 to 7 km speed is ok but if u go to up then it vibrate and make noise . After 20 minutes surface is automatically become hot.
